𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶, 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟯𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: Under its ongoing crusade “𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗘𝗸 𝗬𝘂𝗱𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘂𝗱𝗵”, Reasi Police has dealt yet another strong blow to the drug menace by booking and detaining a notorious drug peddler under the Public Safety Act (PIT-NDPS). The accused has been lodged in Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
The accused, 𝗥𝗮𝗷 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗦/𝗢 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗸𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗥/𝗢 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱, 𝗣𝘂𝗷𝗮𝗿𝗶 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗔𝗿𝗹𝗶 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶, 𝗧𝗲𝗵𝘀𝗶𝗹 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮, 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶, was actively involved in drug trafficking and had multiple cases registered against him, including FIR No. 101/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act and FIR No. 103/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act, along with DDR No. 19 dated 04.07.2025 at Police Station Katra. Despite repeated warnings, he continued his involvement in supplying drugs to the youth of Katra area.
Given his persistent criminal conduct and its grave threat to public health and societal wellbeing, he was detained under PIT-NDPS Act through Detention Order No. 49 of 2025 dated 30.07.2025, issued by 𝗦𝗵. 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿, 𝗜𝗔𝗦, 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗺𝘂. On directions of 𝗦𝗵. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘃𝗶𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵, 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦, 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶, dossiers were prepared and executed by the team of Police Station Katra, leading to his arrest and shifted to Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
SSP Reasi, while sharing the details, reaffirmed that District Police Reasi has adopted a multi-pronged strategy to combat drug abuse: awareness campaigns across the district and strict action including PIT-NDPS detentions. Reasi Police has also launched an 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: 𝟵𝟬𝟳𝟬𝟵𝟬𝟳𝟬𝟭𝟳, urging public cooperation in the fight against narcotics, with assurance that the caller's identity will remain confidential.
Issuing a strong message to the drug traffickers, SSP Reasi emphasized:
“𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺, 𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀. 𝗡𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.”
