Weekend Report - Another nice day picking away at the mahi aboard the “Outpost.” Most of the fish were about 12 to 14 miles off. We found some w**d lines that were organized, but not very big. Most of the fish were singles. We just cruised down the w**d line and about every 15 to 20 minutes we’d catch a fish. The wahoo bit yesterday and are biting today as we speak. Hopefully it holds up for the weekend. Weeds were manageable.

Check out the latest instructional film “Running & Gunning for Mahi.” Trolling too close to the w**d line can actually hurt your chances of catching. Mahi can sense and see from a long distance. 100-200 feet off the w**ds gives you the ability to catch a few fish and then go back to the w**d line. If you’re right on top of it, many times the mahi will scatter and leave.
