Disney in San Francisco 🌉

This morning, I had the most magical start to my day ✨ — the Disneyland Resort 70th Anniversary Hot Air Balloon Tour made a stop right here in San Francisco, and I was lucky enough to be part of it! 🎈💫

To celebrate 70 years of Disneyland, the resort launched a special Hot Air Balloon Tour, bringing a custom-designed balloon all the way to select cities — and San Francisco was one of them! The balloon, created just for the occasion, is wrapped in Disneyland’s signature colors and celebrates decades of joy, imagination, and magic.

The tour stop took place at the scenic Presidio, just steps from the Walt Disney Family Museum — such a fitting location, surrounded by history, trees, and that beautiful early morning light. And yes, Mickey and Minnie Mouse themselves made an appearance along with Donald duck and Goffy, dressed in their dazzling outfits! It was like stepping into a little slice of Disneyland, right in the heart of the Bay Area. 💛🏰

Save this post if you want to visit Trona Pinnacles😍

Trona Pinnacles is a unique geological feature in the California desert 🏜️ . This place looks like another planet, that is why this became the location to famous Hollywood movies like Dinosaur🦖, Planet of the Apes🦍 and also sci-fi show Star Trek V 🌌🎬. It is a 2 hours drive from Death Valley. If you are following my story we stopped here when heading to Death Valley NP from Joshua Tree NP🏜️.

Know before you go:
*Trona Pinnacles are free to visit😀. Visiting during sunrise or sunset makes you feel like you have traveled to another planet 🌎.
*If you put Trona Pinnacles on your map, it will take to this exact viewpoint 📍 🗺
*You will have to drive 5 miles on a dirt road to reach the first viewpoint and a 1-mile dirt road to go near the pinnacles 🚙
*You can park the car, and take a hike to the pinnacles or just drive around pinnacles on the dirt road that goes around. 🚘
* 4wd vehicles make the driving lot easy as the road is very rough. We didn't think the road will be that rough, so took a sedan, but I don't recommend it. At least a compact SUV is required🚙
* No cell reception, make sure to download the offline maps 📵🗺️
* It is a desert so bring plenty of water💧, and be prepared for the weather, it might be very hot 🔥 or windy💨. Sand storms are common😅
* There are Bathrooms in the parking near the pinnacles 🚽
* If you have a campervan, you can stay overnight.
*No flying Drones, you can climb create that illusion climbing up the dirt road.

Cable Cars all decked up for the holidays 🎄

One of the coolest things to do in San Francisco is take the decked-up cable car ride at sunset. It's a magical experience to see the twinkling lights, Christmas tree at Union square, and other holiday decorations from the cable car.
