Most people know about my love for electronic dance music, but I also love alt-everything (rock, pop, singer songwriter, urban…). So, out of that love affair, was born.

For our first release, I called up with a mission: take one of my favorite obscure gems from the early club scene, Cee Farrow’s 1983 “Should I Love You, and remake it for today without losing its sparkle. He didn’t just cover it… he resurrected it. Think late-70s punk energy, 80s synth swagger, and a modern cinematic punch. Nostalgia and reinvention in the same breath.

Earlier this year, the world lost an incredible artist and soul, Jennifer Kate Hanie pka Bati Kaht.

This post is bittersweet, as it honors her memory and the music we created together, with our track “Go Within” reaching 1 million streams on Spotify. Jennifer was introduced to me through a friend—she had a deep passion for music and was on her journey to becoming a producer. Through my foundation, she received a scholarship to attend a music production school , and as part of her homework, she reached out with a request to collaborate.

Admittedly, I get these requests often and was incredibly busy at the time, but something about her energy and determination made me say yes. In just a few hours, we created Go Within, a song filled with meaning and heart. We then had collaborate on the original version and I did my own remix. Its content and lyrics hold a profound message, a testament to Jennifer’s talent and vision.

Though she is no longer with us, her artistry lives on in this track. Here’s to Jennifer, her incredible spirit, and the legacy she leaves behind through music.

In her honor, my foundation, , is establishing a $10,000 scholarship in her name to preserve her memory and legacy.
