LSCSN extends our condolences to the friends, school family and family of The Kinkaid School '25 graduate Chloe Childress, a counselor at Camp Mystic, who passed away in the flooding in Central Texas.

The ABC News link below contains comments from Kinkaid head of school Jonathan Eades.

Ms. Childress competed in cross country for the Falcons in addition to being involved in the following activities, according to her Linkedin page: Honor Council Co-President, Senior Citizen Club Founder/President, Student Wellbeing Board, Model United Nations, Psychology Club, One Love Club and the Young Alumni Committee.

Chloe Childress, a counselor at Camp Mystic, was killed during the devastating flooding in Hunt, Texas, over the holiday weekend, according to a representative of her high school.

She graduated from The Kinkaid School earlier this year and was set to attend the University of Texas at Austin in the fall.

Jonathan Eades, the head of The Kinkaid School remembered Childress in a letter: "A loyal and beloved friend to all who knew her, Chloe led with empathy. Her honesty gave others the courage to speak up. Her resilience helped others push through. Her joy, so present in all the little things, reminded all who knew her to keep showing up with heart."

FOOTBALL | Tentative schedule for our this coming season.

1. Can't travel too far on Friday because of 8-to-5 job. (Oct. 31 will be in Austin for UIL state XC meet)
2. Want to see games at facilities that haven't seen a game at before.
3. Schedule is subject to change.
4. Want to see Spring Legacy, at some point, too.

Dallas Bishop Dunne's head baseball coach was Dick Gaffney, and it was the Falcons' second title in a row.

He had a long career in private and public school education and is an inaugural member of the University of Dallas' Athletics HOF.

He coached at Dallas Bishop Lynch and was later its Athletic Director as well as a year as the AD at Ursuline Academy of Dallas.

Gaffney finished his education career as the AD at Plano John Paul II for approximately a decade.
