Bilang pagpapakita ng galit at pagkadismaya, naghagis sila ng putik at isinulat ang salitang “magnanakaw” sa gate ng kompanya, giit ng mga nagpoprotesta na ang mga proyektong ito ay nagdulot ng pinsala at perwisyo sa libo-libong pamilya at dapat papanagutin ang mga sangkot sa katiwalian.

Hindi naiwasan ni Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto na magbigay ng reaksyon matapos muling mag-viral ang mga panayam ng kaniyang nakalaban sa politika na si Sarah Discaya sa vlog ng ilang kilalang mamamahayag.

Ayon kay Sotto, bagama’t hindi “illegal” ang ganitong klase ng content, malinaw umano itong paglabag sa code of ethics ng pamamahayag at paraan ng pagpapagamit sa mga tiwaling personalidad kapalit ng pera.

“I know for a fact that there are many good, honest people in media who are disappointed, if not angered, at practices like this which undermine the integrity of their profession,” pahayag ng alkalde sa isang Facebook post.

Matatandaang kabilang ang kumpanya ni Discaya sa tinukoy ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos na sangkot umano sa maanomalyang flood control projects. Ipinatawag na rin siya ng Senado kaugnay nito.

The Office of Civil Defense–NCR capped National Disaster Resilience Month with a webinar highlighting Pasig City’s disaster preparedness achievements. The Pasig DRRMO’s initiatives include distributing 28 fire trucks and 27 patient transport vehicles to barangays, ensuring rapid fire and emergency response. Most personnel are registered nurses, certified EMTs, and trained emergency vehicle operators.

The city also provided every household with a “Go Bag” containing essential survival items. These efforts, along with the institutionalization of the Incident Command System (ICS), have led to fewer emergency calls compared to Typhoon Karina, showing improved community readiness. Pasig’s local government remains committed to strengthening disaster resilience and public safety.
