Dear Baringo Honorable Members of Parliament,

We, the concerned citizens and loyal supporters of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in Baringo County, write to you with deep respect, but also with a firm appeal for consistency and fairness.

We have noted with concern that some of you — who rightfully earned your current positions through open, competitive 𝐔𝐃𝐀 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 — are now strongly advocating for 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐔𝐒 in selecting the UDA flag bearer for the upcoming Senatorial race.True leadership is not just about winning positions, but about 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 for all. Selective application of consensus raises questions, sows division, and risks weakening the democratic trust of the people in the party.

We urge you, Honorable Members, to support a process that reflects 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 of all aspirants. The people of Baringo want party primaries conducted S scheduled. Let the people of Baringo decide. Let democracy speak — just as it did for you.

While we recognize that consensus can sometimes be a useful tool for unity, we also believe that the 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 should not be denied to others now seeking to serve. MOI TEACHERS TRAINING COLLEGE RELOCATES TO TALAI HIGH SCHOOL AS GOVERNMENT INVESTS KSH 100M IN UPGRADE

Education Cabinet Secretary Migos Ogambo has greenlit the relocation of Moi Teachers Training College to Talai High School following an assessment visit to the site earlier today.

This decision comes in light of Kabarnet University College students having been temporarily placed at Moi TTC Seretunin. The CS noted that Talai High meets the criteria necessary to host a full-fledged teacher training institution.

To support the transition, the Ministry of Education has earmarked Ksh 100 million for the development—funds that will go toward refurbishing current facilities and erecting additional infrastructure.

In preparation for the transformation, Talai High School students will be reallocated to nearby schools.

Simultaneously, Moi TTC Seretunin is benefiting from a Ksh 30 million facelift, while plans for the construction of Kabarnet University College in Kabarnet are already in motion, signaling a boost in tertiary education infrastructure in the region.

Baringo Central MP Joshua Kandie, the driving force behind the initiative, expressed his satisfaction: “This approval is a great step forward. With the Ksh 100 million for Talai, Ksh 30 million for Seretunin, and the new university college in Kabarnet, our youth will now have better access to quality education right here at home.”
