Co-host Jeremy is honored to volunteer with the incredible Moxxy team, working to bring dignity and answers to the unidentified — John and Jane Does — and to help seek justice in violent crime cases.

Every donation directly supports critical lab testing that can make the difference between a case staying cold or finally giving a family closure.

If you’re able, please join me in supporting this mission. Every contribution counts.

🔍 Did You Know?

When someone goes missing or unidentified remains are found, not every state handles it the same way. Because we’re from the mid-South, we found this data quite interesting.

✅ Tennessee and Arkansas: By law, ALL missing persons and unidentified decedents must be entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs). This ensures DNA, dental, and other records are shared nationwide to help families find answers.

⚠️ Mississippi: There is no law requiring NamUs entry. Law enforcement may submit cases, but it’s optional. A 2025 bill to make it mandatory died in committee.

💡 Why it matters: NamUs is a powerful, federally funded tool that connects families, law enforcement, and forensic experts. States with mandatory entry see more identifications and faster connections for families searching for loved ones.

👉 Should Mississippi (and other states) follow Tennessee and Arkansas’ lead?

Over the weekend, Jeremy had the privilege of supporting the DeKalb County Cold Case Task Force's 2025 Missing Persons Event in the Atlanta area for the second consecutive year. The event coincided with the Raymond Green International Outreach of Hope Walk-a-thon for the Missing and Exploited, led by Donna Green.

Thank you to the GEDMatch team for the opportunity to participate. Listening to the stories of those searching for their missing loved ones was truly touching. Hoping that the DNA tests we collected will lead to answers.

It was also an honor to discuss the application of investigative genetic genealogy in solving cold cases with the attendees.

For further insights into Donna's journey and her organization, please visit https://lnkd.in/gBd5NWCj.

Right after this event, Jeremy flew to Texas to assist the 'Finding Jason Landry' volunteer group with another grid search looking for this young man who has been mysteriously missing for 4+ years. You can learn more about his case in the dedicated Facebook Group and TV shows/podcasts below:

* Disappeared Season 10, Episode 4, titled "The Long Drive Home" (TV)
* Never Seen Again Season 1, Episode 8, titled "Jason Landry" (TV)

Hey Showboats! Sorry you haven’t heard from us in a while. We’ve been busy researching and investigating some unsolved cases and those of course take more time. Meanwhile, if you’re in the Atlanta area next month, you can catch Jeremy at the Missing Persons and DNA Event:

We're back!

Teresa Ann Butler, a student nurse from Memphis, Tennessee, went missing on November 10, 1986. Her disappearance was considered unusual as her car was found with the driver's door open, suggesting she did not leave voluntarily... Then Leanne Green, a teenager, also disappeared from a stalled vehicle a few counties over. Is there a connection? Check out our latest episode!
