Abstract thinking: I was just thinking; if they can solidify light they can split it - so if both bits travel at the same sp*eds...but if they can be different...I do love thinking 😁

Saying that, there's the whole thing about "you're a games designer? I've got an idea..." I'm sure we've all had this! I had that today - but she did get me thinking. Totally tangent from her idea. 'A Cornish Adventure'...

A sideline of mine besides designing games is invention. I had a meeting with the people who are up for making a prototype and they could see my vision...or, put another way, didn't laugh in my face! Lol. Obviously can't give any details at this time.

Welcome Stranger, a dice game celebrating the discovery of the largest gold nugget, by two Cornish men, is in its final hurdle. I'm really happy with Fools Gold possible outcome.

Any feedback on Brammangath or Emmet? Emmet was my take on Noughts and Crosses/ 4 in a row.

Here's my last in this series; Cornish takes on traditional games. This is Cornish Draughts (a blend of Alaquette...never could spell that game, and checkers). Different sized boards so they can't play a different game on the same board! So far everything works; but can be better. Cornish takes? It sells. I've never denied i'm in this for the money. Passion? When every company turns you down despite (as I have just had to do) getting more stock 'cos it's selling faster than you can make them...
Oh, and a touch of Oskar...I do have one last idea in this series - a mancala type game, but I'm really stuck.

Just applied/ asked to be a Cornish Bard 😀. That would help sales - I mean, I wrote an Ode to The Cornish Pasty, sent one of my songs about Cornish trials and promote Cornwall in my games...not expecting to be allowed in. But it would p*e my brother off!!! Lol.

Yep, everything works! You can cause your opponent to win! No dice, no chance cards, no trump cards. A logical progression to a single defined win. And cheap! Any publishers? Ah, I shoot myself in the foot - no dice, no chance or trump cards. Guess I should theme it to a 14th century Icelandic poets trials to dig uranium in the ffyrds (ok, I can't spell it) and the winner is the first to 27 points...😜😜😜

I avoid Chess variants (quote: anyone can invent a chess variant in 5 minutes. Unfortunately some do) but there is the tourist market. So... Cornish Chess. The Green/Yellow pawn on the players back row is 'The Pasty' which has a special move. Yes, the pawns are between both players...I'm not giving everything away.

Don't quote me on my quote - I paraphrased.

The Horsey is The Chough (Cornish Bird)
The Bishop is The Fisherman.
The Rooky Mc Rook face is A Tin Miner
The King is The Prince (of Cornwall)
