In a new Op-Ed, former drag queen and ex-Congressman George Santos says he was denied an inhaler for 30 hours in prison, left gasping for breath. He describes being cut off from family and ignored by staff, vowing accountability.

According to Santos, when he was transferred to the SHU on August 28, his urgent pleas for an inhaler were ignored for more than 30 hours.
The disgraced former lawmaker has now appealed directly to Donald Trump for intervention.

Whether or not the public takes him seriously, his story highlights a painful reality: prison neglect is real, and it can be deadly. There is no real ‘corrections’ in the U.S., only punishment.

And if prisoners aren’t rehabilitated, their return to society will only worsen the quality of life for everyone. We hope this diva eventually becomes an advocate for prison reform in order to improve society.

The Amsterdam city council has approved a motion calling for the exclusion of Israeli sports club Maccabi Tel Aviv from participating in city sports events. The measure, introduced by the Denk party, urges Dutch sports federations to bar clubs that are linked to illegal settlements, contribute to occupation, or tolerate extremist behavior among fans.

Enforcement would depend on cooperation from national sports bodies such as the Dutch Football Association and the Dutch Olympic Committee.

Supporters of the motion argue that the city should not host teams they say legitimize or profit from Israel’s occupation.

Israel joined the Asian Football Confederation in 1954 but, after decades of boycotts by Arab nations, Israel was expelled in 1974 and later admitted into UEFA in 1994.

Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, has reached new agreements with the U.S. government. The General Services Administration (GSA) announced that federal agencies will soon be able to use xAI’s chatbot, Grok.

This is part of the government’s “OneGov” program, which is meant to make it easier for agencies to buy and test AI tools. On top of that, xAI has also signed a contract with the Department of Defense worth up to $200 million.

In July 2025, Grok posted antisemitic and racist remarks online, praised Adolf Hi**er, and spread offensive language before the company deleted the posts and apologized.

This happens when you have a CEO that considers basic facts as “woke,” in order to push his flawed ideology.

When users asked Grok what might change in its next version, Grok responded that xAI would probably “dial back content seen as overly progressive, such as strong focus on social justice issues, in order to match Elon’s idea of ‘truth.’

A new poll shows that more than half of voters in California’s 11th Congressional District say they once supported Rep. Nancy Pelosi but now believe it’s time for someone new.

The poll, conducted for Chakrabarti’s campaign by Beacon Research, found 51% of voters want a change. Another 31% said they still want Pelosi to represent them, while 14% said they never backed her.

The poll also tested a three way race between Pelosi, Chakrabarti, and Republican candidate David Ganezer. In that scenario, 46% said they would choose or lean toward Pelosi, 29% backed Chakrabarti, and 11% supported Ganezer.

However, when voters were given a series of positive statements of both candidates, their age and their track history, most voters chose Chakrabarti with 44% followed by Pelosi with 36% and 11% choosing the Republican.

Though it’s still early, this poll could be a strong indicator of where California’s 11th District is headed. When voters get to know the candidates, the momentum appears to be on the side of Progressives.

Curtis Sliwa, the Republican nominee for New York City mayor, said he has received at least seven offers from wealthy individuals urging him to drop out of the race, which he called “unethical and illegal.”

He warned he would reveal names if pressured again and vowed to stay in the race through Election Day.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced that Spain will send a naval vessel to support the Global Sumud Flotilla as it sails toward Gaza.

“Tomorrow, a maritime action ship will set sail from Cartagena, equipped in case it is necessary to assist the flotilla or carry out some type of rescue,” he said.

Spain has confirmed that the vessel will be the Furor P-46, a Spanish Navy high-seas patrol ship. Commissioned in 2017, the 93-meter-long warship is crewed by 52 specialized sailors.

Prime Minister Sánchez emphasized that the ship will leave from Cartagena fully equipped to support the flotilla or conduct rescue operations if required.

This marks a significant step, as the Global Sumud Flotilla has already reported threats and attacks while attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Earlier this week, FCC Chair Brendan Carr insisted that Republicans had nothing to do with Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension and that the government played no role in ABC’s decision. He claimed the network acted on its own.

But Trump has now said the opposite. In a Truth Social post, Trump mocked ABC for bringing Kimmel back, saying the show had already been cancelled because of low ratings and “Democrat garbage.” He bragged that the last time he “went after” ABC, the network paid him $16 million, and suggested he would “test” the network again to make money off them.

Trump’s remarks directly contradict the FCC Chair’s defense and suggest political pressure was, in fact, involved.

His promise to go after ABC once more highlights the constant lies spewed by this administration only for Trump to reveal everything on an emotional late night post, adding to another impeachable offense.

Trump has changed his tone on the war in Ukraine, saying he now believes Ukraine can recover all the territory it lost to Russia. Speaking during meetings at the United Nations, Trump said Russia is a “paper tiger” facing deep economic problems, and that with support from NATO and the European Union, Ukraine could take back its land “in its original form.”

This is a total shift from Trump’s earlier calls for negotiated compromises. He has not announced any new U.S. military commitments but stressed that America would help secure peace once the war ends.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro used his speech at the United Nations to call for the creation of an international army to protect Palestinians. He said that nations opposed to “genocide” should unite and bring together their weapons and soldiers to help liberate Palestine.
