Today I’ve learnt that, due to a knee injury I’ve had for a while, I will need surgery. This means that for the entire upcoming season, I won’t be able to practice or fight on the tatami. That’s why I’ve been quiet for a while and why I couldn’t keep going (for now ⚠️) with my online program.
Beyond the actual operation, the hardest part will be the physical therapy to get back in shape and, hopefully, be able to fight again by the end of next year. So a long journey awaits me. I’m sorry for everyone who follows me and enjoys my content — you’ll probably see less of me for a while (but cheers to all the haters: know that I ain’t going anywhere though 😆).

I’ll try to come up with new content ideas or revisit some old ones (fight reviews and so on) as soon as I can. But after 17 years of uninterrupted practice, it’s also time for me to explore new ground during this tough period ahead. Big osu 👊🔥

I’m currently working on the mental part of your favorite Fighting Program, Starter Hero. Why is this part so important? Because it will teach you techniques to overcome stress, fear and be more confident when setting foot on the mat as well as having more control during the fight.

In order to do so I need you to tell me what are your biggest fears and frustrations regarding fighting, either in competition or actual sparring sessions at the dojo. I’ll be working with Martin Thauvoye, Belgian fighter and mental coach to bring you mental techniques and mindset tips 🧠. OSU!! 👊🔥
