🍫 Chocolate Lava Cakes 🍫
🍴 An indulgent dessert with a molten chocolate center, perfect for a special occasion! 🍴
📋 Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
• 6 oz (170g) high-quality semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 2 large egg yolks
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
• Pinch of salt
• Butter and cocoa powder for greasing the ramekins
• Optional toppings: powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, or whipped cream
🍜 Directions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
o Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four 6-ounce ramekins with butter and dust with cocoa powder to prevent sticking.
2. Melt the Butter and Chocolate:
o In a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and chopped chocolate. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
3. Mix the Batter:
o Stir in the powdered sugar until well combined. Add the eggs and egg yolks, one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Add the Dry Ingredients:
o Gently fold in the flour and salt until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
5. Fill the Ramekins:
o Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.
6. Bake:
o Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft and slightly jiggly.
7. Serve:
o Let the cakes cool in the ramekins for 1-2 minutes. Carefully run a knife around the edges to loosen, then invert the cakes onto serving plates. Serve immediately with optional toppings like powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, or whipped cream.
