As my dad's funeral approaches this week, I'm feeling all of the emotions--stress, anxiousness, dread, apathy, worry, and sadness. The only thing I'm looking forward to about it is having it over because it's hard to heal with the funeral still looming over us.
But this quote by Charles Spurgeon is a great one to keep our focus on the present and not let our joy be robbed by circumstances ahead. God is still in control, and He is our source of peace and strength.
Family can be comforting but can also be a source of stress and anxiety. There are so many facets to losing someone you love and who has been a part of your entire life. 💔
Please pray for us if you feel led this week. I'm planning to give the eulogy, which will be emotional and hopefully comforting. I think it will help give me a sense of closure and maybe even a few smiles to those who are there.
Blessings to you all! (I created a bunch more content that will be coming soon, as I hope to be more active on social media as we get past this difficult week.)
