Sin is just me not submitting to God's authority in my life.
Who, or what is Lord of your life?

This Holy Week, as we lead into Easter, or better known as Resurrection Sunday, let's keep our focus on Jesus and walk through this week remembering the journey He took to the cross to take away all our sins. Then, let's celebrate in wholehearted thanks and praise as we remember His victory over sin, death, and the devil once and for all! These verses are just a starting point to dig into the Scriptures and see for yourself!

When Jesus said, "It is finished!" He proclaimed that all the work for our salvation was done. He kept the Law we had broken, and fulfilled all the requirements for righteousness we couldn't do. Because our sins were laid on Him and crucified with Him, our sin debt was paid in full. Jesus's righteousness was credited to us by grace through faith. This makes God both just (punishes sin) and the Justifier (the One who declares us not guilty) and gives Him all the glory! We live our lives in gratitude, honor, and humble thanks to Him for His great love and salvation.

Are you trusting Him alone today?

Blessings and Love in Christ,
Heather

Jesus is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life." He is the only way to the Father and to Heaven.

Why??

⭐️ No other religion has a God who came and did the work of salvation for us. All other religions make you work or earn your way to Heaven (if it is promised at all).

❓️Have you put your full trust in the finished work of Jesus on the cross on your behalf?

God has given us a wonderful gift in the ability to pray and call on Him anytime, day or night. He is always near. Prayer is not about some "magic words" or vain repetition as the Scripture says, but about heartfelt communication with our Creator. He is the One who knows us best and loves us most. Take all your cares and turn them into prayers.

❤️ Do you have any prayer requests I can pray for you?

Please share if you or someone you know has been considering abortion. 😢

The Lord has created each and every one of us in His image, and life is precious. No pregnancy is ever unplanned by God.

If He has blessed you with the gift of life, please don't take that for granted. My husband and I struggled with infertility our whole marriage, and we are blessed with one beautiful adult daughter who is the biggest blessing in our lives. We would have loved to have more but are grateful for what He has given.

If you find yourself in a difficult situation right now, pray and seek His will. He will equip you in whatever He calls us to do, when we just trust in Him. I'm praying for you! 🙏🫶❤️

As we begin a new year, and I have a new Bible, and a new Bible journaling binder, I've been excited to start reading and studying the Gospel of Matthew again. We are also studying Matthew in our Bible study at church, so I wanted to share some key verses from this amazing Gospel with you to meditate on and maybe even memorize.

▶️ Matthew 1:21 and 1:23-point to the birth of Jesus and His important work as our Redeemer.

▶️ Matthew 5:14-reminds us to let our Gospel light shine so all can see and be drawn to the light and love of Jesus.

▶️ Matthew 6:33-tells us that when we put God first, everything else falls into place.

❤️ Please share to spread the Good News of God's Word and save for when you need some encouragement!

❄️ Happy January!

🎉 As many of us make New Year's Resolutions (and many are focused on health or weight loss), it's great to remind ourselves of our motivation for caring for our bodies. We want to be the healthiest we can be, so we are ready to fulfill all the purposes God has for us--with #1 being to glorify Him and share the Gospel with all we can!

🥗 Did you make any health or weight loss resolutions or goals for this year? I usually use January as a healthy eating reset to offset the holiday treats and overindulgences! 😆

❤️ Please share to help others and spread the Word!

❤️ And follow The Bible-Based Life for Christian community so we can grow in our faith together.
