Workers at Island's Largest Employer Authorize a Strike if the Company Continues Refusing Contract Negotiations

Employees at Amazon’s JFK8 warehouse have voted overwhelmingly to authorize the Amazon Labor Union (ALU-IBT Local 1) to call an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike.

Amazon reported a $15 billion dollar profit in the third quarter of 2024 on the backs of an overworked and underpaid workforce that are our neighbors.

Plea for the Fifth stands in solidarity with the Amazon Labor Union members as they prepare for a strike.
