That man at the Pool of Bethesda was the definition of long-suffering and determination.

For 38 years, he showed up at the same pool, waiting for healing, trying just one method, hoping that one day, somehow, things would work in his favour.

No second opinion, no alternative approach, no backup plan. Just the same old routine, year after year.

Little wonder he spent 38yrs in the same condition.

That’s why I admire the woman with the issue of blood.

She didn’t stick to one failing method. Instead, she kept moving, trying different physicians, seeking solutions wherever she could, until she finally met the Great Physician who healed her.

It still took her twelve years of suffering, but hey! 12 is better than 38.

Now, in the 21st century, the age of the internet, AI, and advanced medicine, it shouldn’t take anyone months to get a healthcare solution.

Yet, some people stick to one method that isn’t working for them; ignoring new information, refusing second opinions, or delaying necessary lifestyle changes or medical treatment.

If your health isn't improving, maybe it's time to ask:

❓️Am I stuck in one approach that isn’t working?

❓️Have I sought the right help?

❓️Is there another solution I haven’t considered?

Persistence is good.
Blind persistence? Not so much.

Like the woman with the issue of blood, keep searching, keep seeking, until you find what truly works for your health!

Have a happy and healthy week.

What happened with Ananias and Sapphira?

How do people just keel over and die because they lied? Were all the other people in that congregation saints?

I’m not excusing their lies, just wondering why their own lies resulted in sudden death.

Biblically, their death was divine judgment.

But scientifically speaking, I could postulate a number of medical explanations for their sudden death.

Here's one: they could have had pre-existing medical or genetic conditions that became fatal once you added extreme fear, anxiety, guilt, and public shame into the mix.

💡Healthcare lesson from the story?

We may all look the same, but our health conditions differ and our bodies don’t always play by the same rules.

🔹 Someone might consume alcohol frequently and still somehow live long.

🔹 A lesser amount of alcohol could send another person's liver on strike.

🔹 Some people eat anything they can find and stay fine.

🔹 Others develop serious health conditions as a direct effect of their diet.

This is why you should never underestimate unhealthy lifestyle choices.

Ananias and Sapphira thought they could get away with a little lie.
Turns out, they couldn’t.

📌Are you willing to roll the dice with that unhealthy habit? 🎲

✔️My advice: Take risks in business. Take risks with investments. But when it comes to your health, play it safe—because some risks don’t come with second chances.

Meanwhile, since we’re on the subject; who really killed Ananias and Sapphira?

Bet when Joseph woke up that morning, he didn’t expect a summon from the palace.
Bet when David was going to the battlefield, he didn’t expect to become a celebrated hero.
Bet when the widow of Zarephath started gathering sticks to cook her last meal she didn’t expect a sudden turnaround.
You may not see it coming, but it's coming nonetheless. Stay ready!

Prophet Elijah was one of the people in the bible who experienced suicidal thoughts.
Without going into whether you’ve ever felt the same, here are 4 things from Elijah’s story that can help whenever you feel hopeless:

1. Sleep: After he ran away, Elijah took a long nap.
Personally, I can’t confirm or deny ever feeling hopeless just before bed at night, but I always, always feel better and hopeful in the mornings.👩‍⚕️

2. Food: An angel interrupted Elijah’s long nap and served him a two course meal. 🍲
Never underestimate the power of good food to lift your mood. And no, heavenly food wasn’t junk food!

3. Travel: After eating, the prophet travelled for 40 days.
A change of scenery can shift your perspective. Stepping away from a distressing environment can open up a world of new possibilities you never knew existed.🌆

4. Talk to someone: After the nap, food, and travel, God invited Elijah for a conversation. It was during this divine “therapy session” that we got a glimpse into what was causing Elijah’s suicidal thoughts - he felt alone and threatened.

And instead of throwing him a pity party, God gave him work to do and assured him he wasn’t alone; there were at least 7,000 others like him.
For you, that might mean talking to a therapist or someone you trust. Talking to someone can reveal perspectives you may never see on your own.👓

Sleep works for me just fine.
What works for you?
Whatever it is, please do it.
We need you here.💞
