On Thursday nonna passed away ❤️
That day a piece of my heart flew away to heaven as well and I’m missing her so much already. Yesterday we said goodbye to her for the last time. I took some days off to stay with my family and to heal.
I’ve never had the chance to tell you her story but she was in fact my great aunt, but for me she was my nonna. She took care of my mum, my aunts and uncles when they were little and raise them as if they were her own kids. My cousins and I grew up with her, she was in fact our nonna. I will miss the smile on her face every time she saw me. I will miss her kindness and pure soul. I will miss our Sunday lunches together, our Christmases, our summer barbecues, our coffee breaks, our laughs. Oh yes, we laughed so much together! I will miss cooking with her and the taste of her food. Life will not be the same without her but I am thankful for having spent the first 30 years of my life with her. Thank you for loving us so much, I hope you have always felt our love back. Ciao Appol ❤️
