A few days ago, Leo had some head tremors that I later found out were partial seizures 😣

It was quite scary in the moment, and luckily I remembered watching a video somewhere that said to film when it happened. I was later able to show our vet so he could have a better idea of what happened. Specially cause if you were to ask me, it lasted forever, when really it was under a minute start to finish 🙃

We did a full bloodwork panel and everything came back healthy. Which is great, but at the same time just gives us no answers. So, the plan for now is to keep a log of how often they happen & the duration, that way if he does need anti-seizure meds at some point, we can be ready.

Not the most ideal thing to happen, but we’ll take the win of having a healthy pup for now 🩵

Rescue ride day! 🚙 I got to transport this cute husky mix guy who is a whole 29lbs & about 2yrs old- so a pocket size husky! I picked him up, drove him to get vaccines, and he’s off to his foster home!

He was such a good boy in the car & loved meeting all people & dogs. His potty training skills will need some work (I got marked 😂), but tbh it’s not his fault as he grew up as an outdoor-only doggo. He’s gonna see how great life is now as he’s going to one of our amazing foster homes that has now fostered 11 dogs for Arctic Rescue 😍

OMG today has been insane and it’s not even 12pm yet 🤯 It started last night around midnight- baby Jet has a cold and his sock monitor set off a loud alarm saying his oxygen was low sending me into an abrupt panic wake up. I took him to the doctor this morning and thankfully all is well besides the cold, so somehow we’re making it past his first time being sick

Then, I came home and Graham’s nose is swollen and bleeding 🙃 (tbh he looks like rudolph) This has happened before & im guessing he stuck it somewhere and now it’s infected. So, I’m off to make a vet appointment next.

Overall we’re doing well, somehow becoming a parent has made me stress a lot less (not sure how that makes sense). Maybe just when things don’t seem too serious…

On the other hand, my friend was able to recover the files from my broken memory card! So I thought I’d post these hiking pics of a moment that was calmer…

No, this isn’t Graham 😂 but it’s a Samoyed & his husky buddy looking for a new home! I saw a Facebook post of someone in a tough situation needing to rehome their pups, and although I can’t foster- I thought getting their faces out might help in case anyone is looking to add a pup. Here’s a little about them:

Niko - Loveable Samoyed/husky mix, about 4yrs old. Loves people, good with kids (they have 2 young kids), good with other large dogs, and has serious FOMO. (Sounds just like Graham 😂). They say he’s truly the best family dog/best friend.

Sasha - Husky, about 4yrs old, playful & sassy- needs an active home!

If you’re interested in either pup, dm me and I can send you the owner’s information!

Please note these are not dogs in rescue or any way affiliated. I also have not met them in person. Their post just stood out to me since I have Leo & Graham and they’ve been the best pups.

Did our Thanksgiving 5K run with the pups this morning! 🦃 it’s the longest distance I’ve run since having a baby and it felt great! Pls note Leo being dramatic after the run- my dogs are a bit out of shape, but Leo is always a plopper 😂

PS- Running in the cold weather is my favorite. Do you agree or prefer warmer days?

Okay, I’ve been debating this for way too long, so I need your opinion… or really just to be convinced 😂 Should I get a dna test for Leo?

I’ve been wanting to for a while cause I’ve a feeling he’s got some malamute in him… he’s a whole 67lbs, and is just a bit lazier than what I think of for a husky. I got him 4 years ago from a KSL breeder, so there’s a good chance he’s mixed somehow.

There’s a sale on dna tests right now, which is why I’m finally considering it- so it’s now or… not now haha.

Thoughts? 😬

I’ve been overly booked the past couple of weeks & feel like I haven’t been posting, so here’s a bunch of random photos of what the pups have been up to.

And in typical dog life, since there’s not enough chaos- Graham decided to show up with blood in his 💩, so we’ll be making an extra trip to the vet this week 🤦🏻‍♀️
