Life is tough, but moments like these give us a reason to smile.
Trying my luck — maybe this time, it’s my turn.
Christine Naomi Derick Odari you two deserve good things too. Let’s hope together. 📺💙

Today, Nairobi isn’t just moving — it’s mourning.
Not with silence, but with resilience.
Yesterday, lives were shaken.
Someone died in police custody.
Another was shot while just trying to earn a living.

This isn’t politics. This is pain.
This isn’t “just the news.” These are real people.

💔 A country cannot grow if the value of life keeps shrinking.

So today…
📍 Let’s pause.
🧠 Let’s reflect.
🗣 Let’s demand better.

Because justice isn’t a privilege.
It’s a right.
And protecting life — every life — is not optional.

Let’s be louder. Kinder. Wiser.
Let’s not forget.

Behind every smile you see in town,
There’s a story you don’t know.

Maybe rent is due.
Maybe they’ve been skipping lunch to save fare.
Maybe that “Niaje niko poa” is hiding a thousand worries.
Maybe that delayed M-PESA message ruined their whole afternoon.
Maybe there’s a dream they had to pause just to survive today.

But still…
They woke up.
They washed their face.
They dressed up like everything’s okay.
And they showed up — for work, for family, for the hustle.

This country is hard — lakini watu bado wanajaribu.
Watu wanabeba mzigo kimya kimya, na bado wanatabasamu.

So today…
Be slow to judge.
Be quick to love.
Be soft when the world is already too hard.

🫶 You never know who’s fighting silent battles with a brave face.

💬 Who’s someone you silently admire for how they keep going?
Tag them below — or send them a message today. You never know how much it could mean. 👇

1. 💸 Budgeting is no longer optional — it’s survival.

Even Ksh. 100 can disappear with just one errand.
Write it down. Track every coin. Prioritize needs over wants.
Learn to say “sina” even when you feel pressured. It’s not selfish — it’s smart.

2. 🛍️ Side hustles are not for luxury anymore — they’re lifelines.

Selling mtumba, baking, making TikTok content, farming, errands, or Jumia orders —
Do whatever honest work you can.
Don’t depend on one job, one boss, or one paycheck. The system is unstable. Diversify.
---

3. 🧠 Mental health is wealth.

Just because everyone is “pretending to be okay” doesn’t mean you have to.
You’re allowed to feel tired. To feel stuck. To rest.
Ask for help. Cry. Pray. Breathe.
You are not weak for feeling overwhelmed. You’re strong for still going.
---

4. 🌱 Start small. Grow slow. Stay consistent.

Forget flashy success. Build silently. Learn daily. Fail fast and rise again.
Even saving Ksh. 20 a day is something.
Your journey is yours — don’t compare it to anyone’s highlight reel.
---

5. 🤝 Kindness is a currency. Use it.

Sometimes, all someone needs is a reply, a “how are you?”, or a handout of 50 bob.
We are each other’s keepers. We rise by lifting others.
In a country that’s heavy, be someone’s light.

💭 Kenya is hard. But we’re harder.

The pain is real — but so is the potential.
We can survive this. Together.

Happy Father's Day, Dad!
I just want to thank you for always being my guide, my strength, and my biggest supporter. You’ve shown me what it means to be a real man – not just through words, but by the way you live, love, and lead our family.

Your wisdom, your sacrifices, and the quiet strength you carry mean more to me than I can put into words. I’m proud to be your son, and I hope one day I can be even half the man you are.

Enjoy your day – you truly deserve it. I love you, Dad. 💙

Mr. and Mrs. Brown had two sons. One was named Mind Your Own Business & the other was named Trouble. One day the two boys decided to play hide and seek. Trouble hid while Mind Your Own Business counted to one hundred. Mind Your Own Business began looking for his brother behind garbage cans and bushes. Then he started looking in and under cars until a police man approached him and asked, "What are you doing?" "Playing a game," the boy replied. "What is your name?" the officer questioned. "Mind Your Own Business." Furious the policeman inquired, "Are you looking for trouble?!" The boy replied, "Why, yes."

Teacher: "If I gave you 2 cats and another 2 cats and another 2, how many would you have?"

Johnny: "Seven."

Teacher: "No, listen carefully... If I gave you two cats, and another two cats and another two, how many would you have?

Johnny: "Seven."

Teacher: "Let me put it to you differently. If I gave you two apples, and another two apples and another two, how many would you have?"

Johnny: "Six."

Teacher: "Good. Now if I gave you two cats, and another two cats and another two, how many would you have?"

Johnny: "Seven!"

Teacher: "Johnny, where in the heck do you get seven from?!"

Johnny: "Because I've already got a freaking cat!"
