Here’s Evans Scott putting it out plain that he spent a whopping GHC200,000 on shooting the visuals for his song ‘100%’. This came up during his interview with Doreen Avio on Hitz 103.9 FM yesterday.

Now let’s be honest — the man isn’t lying. Just take a look at the outcome of that project. You don’t need a magician or an industry analyst to tell you that pulling off such a world-class music video takes some serious money.

Aside Stonebwoy, I don’t see any Ghanaian dancehall artiste with that kind of budget to throw into 'just' a music video. It’s not even up for debate.

And mind you, Scott Evans isn't the only one setting that bar. Before ‘100%’, we saw artists like Elijah The Worshiper and Jonn Winner also dropping heavy investments into their visuals—some even beyond what Scott quoted.

This is exactly why I keep saying—and I’ll keep saying it— is way more competitive than dancehall right now. Whether you agree or agree, the facts are staring us all in the face.

Returns With “Adakato” Featuring Grammy-Winning Guitarist Joshua Moszi
Ghanaian highlife sensation and gifted songwriter Kweysi Swat is making a powerful return with a soulful highlife single titled Adakato, which translates to “An Empty Box.”

The track, a heartfelt tale of love and deceit, first gained attention in 2017 when a snippet of Kweysi singing it with his late mother went viral on Facebook. Despite fans' relentless calls for an official release, the song remained unreleased—until now.
After nearly a decade, Adakato is finally set for release this April in honor of Kweysi Swat’s beloved mother, Twumwaa, whose birthday falls on April 6. She passed away in October 2024 after a prolonged battle with stroke. Known for frequently eulogizing her in his songs, this release holds deep emotional significance for the artist.

The revamped version features Grammy Award-winning guitarist Joshua Moszi, with production credit going to Eriz Beatz and Moszi on lead guitar. The record promises to reignite love for authentic highlife music among fans.

Kweysi Swat rose to prominence in 2019 after signing with NKZ Music and delivering a standout verse on Guru’s award-winning hit Bad Energy. Since parting ways with the label, he has gone on to establish himself as an independent artist with over 40 singles, including fan favorites like Had I Known, Oh Obibini, and Not A Love Song (Enye Odo Ho Nwom).

Though he’s been relatively quiet in recent years, Kweysi Swat continues to be celebrated as one of the most prolific songwriters and lyricists of his generation. Adakato is not just a comeback—it’s a celebration of legacy, love, and the timeless beauty of highlife.

Sorry how he was pushed by Sark's bodyguard. However, Edem as an artiste should have known better. How on earth would you want to approach an artiste during a performance?

Nyansa will tell you that when an artist gets on stage, he zooms into a 'spiritual mood' making him lose control over some of his actions within his performance period.

It's unfortunate Edem had to go through this unpleasant experience but he should have known better!
