West Dorset Road Safety Community Dorset residents page to flag up concerning driving behaviour patterns on our local communities

We represent ordinary members of Dorset communities who have a shared interest in the safety of their roads. We flag up incidents of poor, questionable, and unequivocally unlawful driving on the roads in these communities. This is one of the most nefarious examples of road rage noted on this page. The driver concerned takes up the story:

As I drove though Manor Park I noted a car behind me. Nothing unusual until I turned off the road in to another. The car behind closed right up close rather than going around me on a totally clear road. I thought no more of it as the car continued normally up the initial road. I lived close by and parked on my drive.

As I got out, I could not believe my eyes when the same car LO62KLZ, was now outside my property. The driver had circled around the estate in the hope of hunting me down. He wound down his window and yelled why I looked at him! I had actually barely noticed him when he tailgated, but he clearly was aggrieved he had to slow down.

Beware of this driver's behaviour should you cross paths.

Spring sees a members report of a driving school speeding through Charminster, Dorchester no less.
FINAL-EE driving school (https://www.finaleintensives.co.uk) entered a 40mph zone following the members car. The member drove at a constant 40mph, and yet the driving school car caught up within this zone within just 60secs.

Next up is a members experience of a speeding road rager. The Car accelerates in Bridport (1+2) in 27 secs to catchup [which is impossible if it were doing the limit]. Speeder then tailgates the cam car until they, terrified at the experience, pull over (3). The speeder overtakes. Shortly after on a dual carriage way, the speeder deliberately slows to 30, forcing the cam car to aswell, until it overtakes. The passenger aggressively makes hand gestures out of the window(5). Shortly after on another dual carriageway, the car overtakes the cam car, and repeats the aggressive forced slowing down manoeuvre. Reported to Dorset Police.

This autumns loony bins starts with a taxi speeding through Crossways Dorchester. Pulls on to the crossways rd at 08:34, with the cam car accelerating upto the 40mph limit thereafter. 47 secs later its behind the cam car. There was a child passenger. Who is this taxi endangering the public?

Not much into the inbox over the winter save for this Dorchester driver caught on camera a few weeks back. Having tailgated the camera car, this female driver overtook, stopped and left their car screaming and shouting to confront the camera car. Road rage live and present in our community - don't tolerate these bully's. Reported to police.

This month's lunacy comes from an old favourite, the Sky Company van. Here in the Weymouth area jumping a red light and then racing up to another set of lights at 35mph in a 30 zone (pic3 is 10secs after pic2).
