Not much to say except that becoming a mama is the best thing that ever happened to me. 🩵💕💙 No inspiring quote to be shared, just a thought… Motherhood is the ultimate everything. Joy, pain, exhaustion, exhilaration, purpose, peace, angst, unrelenting love. How lucky am I (and all mothers) to experience all of these things in this life. Happy Mothers Day my loves.

Things that took me by surprise in 2024

1. In 2024 my business hit $100k in rev at only 2 years in.
I was surprised; but also not. I worked hard. I grinded. Input in the work.
This was not accomplished without outsourcing many things to an amazing team.

2. Another thing that took me by surprise was that I realized I was the worst boss I’ve ever had. I was mean to myself, had unrealistic timelines and expectations, was overly critical and impatient.
Self employment and entrepreneurship requires so much Grace.

3. I was surprised that while my business was thriving, I received an amazing opportunity to work full time offering a range of marketing specialties to a fabulous company. And I followed my gut and took it.

4. The biggest surprise of 2024 was that instead of holding on so tightly to the “shoulds” I learned to hold things lightly and let life flow.

Things you might not want to hear about social media (Growing Your Business Version)

1. If you’re not on social media, your business doesn’t exist.

2. People don’t want to see your product or service. They want to see the people behind it (that would be you) and how that product or service will help make their lives better.

3. Social media will change. The platforms used, the trends, the things that “worked” to grow in the past will change. Your message is the thing that will remain constant.

4. If you don’t have time, don’t know what you’re doing, and don’t like social media, you’re going to have to pay someone else to do it. It’s called outsourcing and I bet you don’t for lots of other business functions.
