When I saw this year’s Met Gala theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” - I was hyped. We root for everybody Black here, so I was curious to see the looks, but also who’d show up in a look by a Black designer.

And honestly? They delivered. Over 20+ Black designers were represented - bringing style, grace, and culture all over the carpet.

Here’s Part 1!

Welcoming spring with a renewed spirit—excited for what’s ahead while appreciating the moments that have passed. 🌸✨ Sharing some of my favorite finds and Black-owned businesses I’ve discovered or incorporated more into my daily life lately.

Supporting local and Black-owned communities doesn’t have to mean changing your whole routine. It’s about finding new options and alternatives for what you already love—whether it’s your go-to coffee, skin, or hair care. I know that’s easier said than done, but that’s exactly why Blakawout is here—to make discovery easier. Let’s keep sharing and supporting!

Do you recognize any of these brands? Which one are you excited to try?
