!!!!!!!!Mango Festival in Kuwait: Just Another VIP Show-Off?

Today, there was a mango festival at Avenues in Kuwait, supposedly a great step from the embassy. I didn’t bother attending because I knew they would only cater to VIPs, leaving normal people unable to see the festival properly, let alone get in the door. And that’s exactly what happened.

I heard from many people that it was a disaster. If one person had complained, I might have dismissed it, but the majority said it was badly managed. Only VIPs could enter, and honestly, I’m not surprised. I’ve been part of these communities and know that only VIPs are given respect. These people are rude and self-serving. Every so-called leader is the same, focusing only on their own show and not allowing new people to join, advance, or be promoted. It’s a mystery how anything functions.

I’ve experienced this firsthand. I am a recognized sports Side founder in Pakistan at the ground level, but in Kuwait, where I live, I am nobody to those who know me.

Anyway, back to the mango festival. If you organized the event for the public, then it should have been for the public. You could have sent mangoes to the VIPs' homes if you wanted to please them. The embassy, too, seems to be all about the show.

I hope the embassy and the so-called responsible members of the Pakistani community learn something from this mess and stop seeking fame.

***Superficial Displays: The Erosion of Genuine Faith in these social Communities***

These days, everyone seems to be celebrating 12 Rabi ul Awal in various ways to show their love for Prophet Muhammad (SAW). But do we genuinely love him? Do we, including myself, offer our prayers regularly? Do we follow his Hadiths? Do we understand and read the Quran? Hazrat Aisha has said that the Quran is a silent example of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and the Prophet is the spoken version of the Quran. So, do we genuinely follow the Quran? No. And many people in these social communities don't truly adhere to faith. They will attend singing shows, Milaads, and even funerals, seemingly to promote themselves. But none make an effort to truly follow the Prophet's teachings. We might listen to Naats, but we don't understand their meaning and sometimes inadvertently indulge in verses that border on shirk. Is there a concept of Naats in Islam? If we truly love the Prophet, we should recite the Quran, offer prayers, and act upon the Hadiths.

A noble cause? It seems some groups might prioritize fame over service. Talking about any place, There can be more focus on marketing, VIPs might get more attention. Partnerships? Often formed with those who offer popularity or profit. If you're not well-known, you might feel less valued. However, volunteering is commendable. It's about supporting the cause and fostering change.
