We’ve been asked a few times how we get [Redacted] to sound like the caller. The answer: it’s a whole different actor.

We tried originally just to mask the voice, but it sounded like too much of a horror movie moment (and not in the fun way) or it was too easy to undo and ruin the surprise. Cue Kyle Billinton (Kyle Billinton).

You might have noticed that Kyle was credited as “additional voices” in almost every episode of season 1. To keep up the mystery, this is why.

Of course, it also takes some skillful editing from Aftertouch Audio in post to make the caller sound as spooky as they do. Here’s what we do in the booth before Tyler works his magic!

It’s not over until the last leaf falls…

We’ve been keeping this secret for a little while now, but season 2 of Where the Leaves Fall Purple is in production thanks to Creative BC!

Travel back to Dodgewood and experience the fall out of the events of season 1. Friendships will be tested. Secrets will be revealed. And some new faces will shake up life as we know it.
