SUPER TYPHOON BAVI CONTINUES TO MOVE WEST NORTHWESTWARD NEAR NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS.

• Location of Center (10:00 AM)
The center of the eye of Super Typhoon BAVI was estimated based on all available data at 2,215 km East of Southeastern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) (14.5°N, 144.7°E).
• Intensity
Maximum sustained winds of 205 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 250 km/h, and central pressure of 910 hPa.
• Present Movement
West northward at 20 km/h
• Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds
Strong to typhoon-force winds extend outwards up to 800 km from the center

GENERAL OUTLOOK FOR THE FORECAST PERIOD
• Super Typhoon BAVI is forecast to move generally west northwestward and will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between tomorrow (07 July) evening and Wednesday (08 July) early morning. Once inside the PAR, the tropical cyclone will be given the local name INDAY. While over the Philippine Sea, it will move generally northwestward towards Ryukyu Islands.
• This tropical cyclone is forecast to maintain its strength as Super Typhoon as it enters PAR. Gradual weakening is expected as it moves near Extreme Northern Luzon while approaching the east of Taiwan.
• For land hazards: Despite the low chance of landfall over any parts of Luzon, considering the intensity and the extent of the strong winds from the center of Super Typhoon BAVI, wind signals may be raised over the northern and eastern portions of Northern Luzon (earliest on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning). The highest Wind Signal throughout the passage is likely Signal No. 2 or 3. Due to the uncertainty in terms of radius of strong winds, the possibility of raising wind signals over the eastern portions of Southern Luzon and Visayas is not ruled out. Gusty conditions over most parts of the country are likely to begin between tomorrow and Wednesday due to the Southwest monsoon. The enhanced Southwest Monsoon and the tropical cyclone will also bring heavy rains to the northern and western portions of the country. A Weather Advisory may be may be issued in anticipation of these heavy rains.
• For marine hazards: A Gale Warning associated with rough to very rough sea conditions will be issued by Wednesday (08 Jul) over the northern and eastern seaboards of the Philippines.

Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to continue monitoring for updates related to this tropical cyclone.

Unless there is an intermediate issuance, the next tropical cyclone advisory will be issued at 11:00 PM today

In the interest of public safety, classes at all levels, both public and private, throughout the Province of Camarines Norte are hereby suspended tomorrow July 6, 2026, until further notice.

This precautionary measure is being implemented in light of an alleged security threat directed at educational institutions. While the matter is being assessed by proper authorities, the Provincial Government is acting with utmost caution to ensure the safety and well-being of our learners, teachers, school personnel, and the general public.

You may utilize the suspension period to prepare for the arrival of Super Typhoon Inday.

The public is advised to remain calm and wait for further advisory.

THE TROPICAL DEPRESSION SLIGHTLY ACCELERATES WHILE MOVING WESTWARD OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA WEST OF GUAM.

➣ Location of Center (10:00 AM)
The center of the Tropical Depression was estimated based on all available data at 1,850 km East of Eastern Visayas (OUTSIDE PAR) (13.1°N, 142.5°E).
➣ Intensity
Maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 70 km/h, and central pressure of 1004 hPa.
➣ Present Movement
Westward at 20 km/h
➣ Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds
Strong winds extend outwards up to 280 km from the center

GENERAL OUTLOOK FOR THE FORECAST PERIOD
• The tropical depression is forecast to move generally west northwestward and will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between tomorrow (20 June) evening and Sunday (21 June) morning. Once inside the PAR, the tropical cyclone will be given the domestic name FRANCISCO. A landfall scenario is less likely at this time.
• This tropical cyclone may intensify into a tropical storm today. As it moves over the warm tropical ocean, it will continue to intensify and may reach typhoon category by Sunday.
• Due to its possible close proximity to land on Tuesday (23 June) and Wednesday (24 June) and the possible changes in the track forecast in the succeeding bulletins, the hoisting of Wind Signal No. 1 over the northern and eastern portions of Northern Luzon is not ruled out.
• The tropical depression is less likely to directly affect the weather and sea conditions in the country in the next 3 days.

Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to continue monitoring for updates related to this tropical cyclone.

Unless there is an intermediate issuance, the next tropical cyclone advisory will be issued at 11:00 PM today.
