Well, ladies and gents. today is officially the day that i announce my retirement from Youtube and music. It's been 17 years I've been on this run but was running nowhere within the realms of greedy suits, fools gold and burials under undeserved golden geese. Most importantly, the hoops i have to jump through with every change youtube makes to the platform that only seems to affect nobody but small creators. I just can't go on any further. What used to bring me joy now brings me a great deal of psychological suffering and remorse. I've done so much with nothing to show for it but a bunch of pictures and buried videos.
I started my journey in 2008 before the greedy fu***ss suits dropped in with the adpocalypse. I should have quit then and there but i just didn't want to stop. Now it's gotten to a point that I'm having to quit because they view my hard work as "Low effort" 🤬 Those C**k sucking pieces of s**t!!! Imagine being as overlooked as a director as you were in life as an ignored child.
Moreover, after seeing what kind of world that the wealthy live, what kinds of sick and depraved things they are capable of doing and what kinds of disturbing things they do to rising artists, I've also decided to quit because of that, too. To add to that, it's a world i will keep my daughter away from too even if i have to get my hands dirt while doing so. I was once told by the New Christy Minstrels that I'd go away to where the grass is greener still but wound up in a void of bulls**t and decay; The same void that i don't want my daughter stepping in.
For the entire 17 years I've been doing this, i had literally no support from anybody; No friend support or even family support. It's funny how when you tell people that you're ready to drop such a burden that they want to talk you out of it. Where the hell was that spirit when i needed it 17 years ago?!?!
So, with a heavy heart, since I'm calling it quits, i have things I'll sell to anybody wanting it (or give away). I'm selling all my costume gear (Some of it) and selling mics. I also have a ton of techno sample packs i downloaded and or spent money on that I'll give to anybody wanting copies of them. It all must go! (DM for items)
So, after today, my presence on this dogs**t social media platform will become even more absent, for social media has had almost nothing but negative effects on my mental health in many aspects. I'll still be present on messenger for the small handful of you who give a damn.
As for the shoot interview that i have been teasing for the last 5 years along with my retirement tour series, it still will happen but probably as a Facebook live event that i may upload to YouTube if Zuckerburg doesn't pull the plug on me for the disheartening things I'll be saying in it. (Or if you people on my friends list don't disown me or turn away because of what all i have to say)
Until we meet for the shoot interview, I'm outta here and have no reason to look back. What awaits me in the future? Hell if i know....
