Meet some of the Indigenous women you’ll hear from on The Finance Cafe podcast. ⚡

The Finance Cafe featured a conversation with Founder & CEO Charlene SanJenko about reGEN Impact Media early this year. 💬

About the Podcast Episode:
In this episode, Shannon will sit down with Charlene SanJenko, an Impact Producer and Media Visionary. Charlene leads Turtle Island's only Indigenous-owned and female-led media impact agency. reGEN's media is looking to shift how advertising dollars are spent and bring more investment to transformative stories that deliver target returns. We discuss the role media plays in shifting our future’s narrative, how money and finance fit into the change, what financial lessons she has learned through her entrepreneurial journey and more.

In light of National Indigenous Peoples Day, we're grateful to share a recent media project in collaboration with Powherhouse and Indigenous LIFT Collective surrounding economic reconciliation.

This past spring, we worked with the Sunshine Coast Credit Union and The Co-operators to design an 8-week cohort experience for Indigenous women and non-binary entrepreneurs. In this cohort, participants gathered experience and learnings to enhance their own businesses through a lens of decolonizing business. The cohort space was intentional, inclusive, and shared in a transparent manner within the multi-layered lives of business owners across BC and Canada.

To demonstrate the impact of these gatherings, reGEN curated a narrative adaptation to highlight the experiences of some of the cohort participants and what economic reconciliation means to them. The result was this 9-minute film and the wisdom pieces captured within.

Gratitude to our partners for their support and for our facilitators for leading with your own deep wisdom. It is a priviledge to share these stories - these Whispers - in a world where so often the noise is far too loud.
