Sargeant X Comrade - Glasses

Glasses is an original blend of old school Billie Holiday style vocals mixed with a lo fi trap beat. It's a recipe that sound old and new at the same time; a style that Sargeant X Comrade is known for, with the incredible neo soul vocal stylings of lead singer Yolanda Sargeant in the forefront. Glasses starts off real soft but then hits hard when the 808s drop and keeps it bumpin all the way until the end.

With the last video picking up a WCMA Music Video of the year nomination, director Gino Bikovesso is back with another lo fi video creation. Shot during the Sargeant X Comrade Western Canada tour during spring of 2025.

Fresh from their Western Canadian tour Sargeant X Comrade are releasing their brand new record "Power Vol. 1".

"Power" is a multi-genre cinematic experience from start to finish. An auditory art piece which speaks on themes of self love, inner harmony and discipline. Kung-Fu Funk Masters Sargeant X Comrade teach the listeners that real power comes from within. Evgeniy aka Comrade hits another home run with his production mixing elements of crunchy lo fi vibes with full live band instrumentation. Yolanda's silky vocals hypnotize the listener and showcase Yolanda's versatility as an artist as she effortlessly glides over various musical genres and styles. No wonder she is known as Western Canada's Queen of Lo Fi Soul. This one is set to be a classic. Volume 2 scheduled to be released in the fall of this year.

The 2nd single "Glasses" is a unique/original mix of styles and vibes. Lead singer Yolanda Sargeant mixes Billie Holiday style singing with trap vocals over a crunchy old jazz style trap beat.
