A tragic fire recently struck Sto. Rosario, Buenavista, Guimaras — leaving families displaced, homes destroyed, and lives forever changed. In these trying times, the strength of our community lies in solidarity, compassion, and action.

Guided by our values as Batang Kampeon and as one Guimarasnon, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Buenavista National High School is launching a donation drive campaign with the goal of offering relief and restoring hope to those affected.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩?

- If you wish to extend help to those who are affected, you may scan the QR Code provided in this post.

- If you wish to donate clothes, canned goods, hygiene kits, or any other helpful items, you may drop them in the SSLG donation box located at the SSLG Bulletin area in front of the accounting office, or you may also approach any of the SSLG Officers.

The SSLG ensures that 100% of all collected funds and donations will be given directly to the affected families to help them recover and rebuild.
The SSLG will also provide regular updates on how donations are utilized to avoid discrepancies.

Let’s turn our shared pain into purpose. Let’s show that when one Guimarasnon falls, the whole island lifts them up.

No donation is too small — every act of kindness counts. Together, let’s bring warmth, comfort, and light to those who are currently facing darkness.

What’s in it for you?

For elementary learners, this is open to all elementary pupil-journalists in the Schools Division of Guimaras. This is your chance to learn the basics of journalism, hone your skills in writing, and experience how it feels to be a real campus journalist!

For high school learners, this camp will help you sharpen your journalistic writing skills, and most importantly, it will serve as your qualifying event for the upcoming Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC)!

Come, learn, and be inspired by experienced campus journalists and trainers who will guide you through the different fields of journalism.
