So what. I'm not perfect. My life isn't perfect. My journey isn't perfect.
Maybe I don't know where my path will lead (who really does?) Sure. Maybe I've been through some ups and downs. (who hasn't) Maybe the unexpected twists and turns haven't always been easy. (getting easier)
See... I believe that how we choose to respond to the moments that challenge us most, define our character.
Being pushed uncomfortablly into a harsh reality shows you how to change the bad parts of yourself WHILE embracing the good parts. Eliminate the toxic parts of your life WHILE embracing the beautiful parts. Ok . Maybe it's a bit naive... but I always choose to lead with my heart... I always have faith, I choose to see the best in people ... and in the world.
No matter the test of my strength I've never let those moments that challenge me most, cost me the things or people I would regret losing. I never let those moments of weakness effect those that surround me. Those I cherish most receive no less grace, loyalty, kindness or love .... than what they rightfully deserve, when I'm at my strongest. I never let the moments that break me take any of the good pieces with them, when they finally leave. Sure. I will have grown I will have changed and I will have become stronger. But I will not have left any of my beautiful parts behind or left any hurt or heartache in my wake. I won't have to look back with regret but only forward with hope. Because I made a choice... that those moments that challenge me most will never make me any less ...ME.
After all.
Life isn't always happy.
Life isn't always easy.
But being who you are. Loving as you should love. Moving in the way that you are meant to move ... through it all
& sometimes because of it all .
That ... is validation of your victory.
That...is PERFECTION.
