Weather is nice down here in Sydney and I wanted to go for a big old walk with , so we did the 7 Bridges Walk.

I’m still trying to get some lower body issues right so although it’s not running, I want to keep the body moving and a decent aerobic base for when I can start to ramp up the running volume again. Hopefully in a couple weeks. The time on feet and heat is also a nice bonus to get some of that aerobic training in. Plan is to back it up tomorrow with a long ride 🚴‍♂️

Another great weekend out on the trails training for 🤘 Beat the rain by getting out for 26kms up Lane Cove NP via the GNW. Plan was 3.5hrs on the legs with an added 7.5kg pack to add extra fatigue into the legs, and as it turns out also on my shoulders 😅 I’m not one of those fancy people with a weighted pack so I shoved shoes, water bottles and clothes into my best hiking pack and made do. It did the trick.

24 beautiful kms this morning exploring the local trails.

Turns out only 15mins from our (new) home is the start of the Great North Walk on the Lane Cove NP section 👌 A little more on the technical but such a great training ground! Stoked 🤘

Excited for what lies ahead… Today I received confirmation that I’ve been accepted into Australia’s premier ultra marathon, The 2023 .

It’s 240km from the Pacific Ocean to the highest point in Australia, Mt. Kosciuszko 🌊⛰️

I’m honoured to be selected for this race and be joining some of Australia’s best runners on this truly unique, iconic and bloody tough race. Bring on December 2nd🤘
