Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Neetu Kapoor were recently seen at their new bungalow, which is currently under construction in Mumbai's Bandra area. According to a Bollywood Life report, Ranbir plans to name the bungalow after his and Alia's one-year-old daughter, Raha Kapoor, potentially making her the youngest and wealthiest star kid in Bollywood.
The construction of this bungalow is reportedly costing the family ₹250 crore, making it one of the most lavish celebrity homes in Mumbai, surpassing the value of Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat and Amitabh Bachchan's Jalsa. Both Ranbir and Alia are said to be contributing their earnings towards this dream home, highlighting their significant investment in their future residence. This move is set to position the bungalow as the priciest in Mumbai compared to those of other Bollywood megastars.
The decision to name the bungalow after Raha Kapoor is driven by Ranbir's deep affection for his daughter, potentially making her the wealthiest star child in Bollywood. Additionally, Ranbir and Alia own four flats in Bandra, collectively valued at over ₹60 crore.
It's important to note that while gifts from family members are not taxed upon receipt in India, any future income or gains from such assets are subject to taxation.
The source also mentioned that Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir's mother, will co-own the bungalow, in line with her late husband Rishi Kapoor's wishes for her to be a half-owner of all his properties. Neetu Kapoor is financially independent, having recently purchased a lavish house worth ₹15 crore in Bandra.
The family plans to reside together in this new bungalow once it is completed, with Alia and Ranbir currently living with Raha in Vastu. This upcoming residence represents a significant milestone for the Kapoor family, reflecting both their financial success and their close-knit relationship.
