Here is update from Astro Radio Traffic & Plus Highway on today traffic jam coming back to Kuala Lumpur and now heavy rain. Please Drive Safe.
Several major highways heading to the Klang Valley are still experiencing heavy traffic as many are taking the advantage of free toll on the North-South Expressway (PLUS) and the East Coast Expressway (LPT) from midnight last night until Sunday (May 8) to return home after the Aidilfitri holidays.
PENANG BRIDGE: congested from Prai - Island
PLUS (North)
Traffic is slow moving in the following areas
Jitra - Hutan Kampung
Pendang - Alor Setar
Permatang Pauh - Perai
Bukit Tambun & Bandar Baharu - Sg Bakap
Changkat Jering - Kuala Kangsar - the Sg Perak R&R
Ipoh Utara - Ipoh Selatan continuing towards Gopeng (2 hours)
Gopeng - Sungkai
Bukit Beruntung - Rawang
PLUS (South):
Yong Peng - Senai
Bukit Gambir - Jasin
Simpang Ampat - Seremban
JALAN KUALA PILAH: There’s still slow traffic from Kuala Pilah - Tanjung Ipoh
KL KARAK HWAY: There’s still a 1 hour 30 min crawl after the Karak toll plaza - Bukit Tinggi
JALAN KOTA BHARU GUA MUSANG: There’s still a half an hour delay from Pulai Chondong - Machang, and the jam continues for another 2 hours heading towards Kuala Krai.
Meanwhile, it’s still congested for more than 1 hours from Chiku - Gua Musang.
EAST WEST HWAY: There’s still a 40 min delay from Tanah Merah - Machang. Meanwhile, traffic is slow moving for half an hour from Tanah Merah - Batu 11, & the jam continues for another hour from Bukit Bunga - Ayer Lanas
JALAN KUALA TERENGGANU KOTA BHARU: It’s still congested for 2 hours from Jerteh - Permaisuri, and the jam continues for another 1 hour 30 min - Chalok
JALAN KG RAJA - KG CHE SALAMAH: Expect a more than 3 hour jam from Kuala Setiu - Kg Che Salamah, and the jam continues towards Penarek
WEST COAST EXPRESSWAY: Traffic is still heavy from Kampung Parit Jerman - Teluk Intan
Please be informed that the free tolls on the PLUS Highway, East Coast Expressway and other selected highways will end on Sunday 8th of May 2022 at 11.59pm so please make sure you have exited the PLUS highway or the other highways before the given time ends
