Earlier today we attended the 32nd coronation anniversary for His Majesty Ssabasajja Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II at Kibuli Hill. It was a day of gratitude as we thanked God for protecting the King, giving him better health and granting him the wisdom to lead his people. Agunde gunde Omuterega. Ayi Katonda, kuuma Kabaka!

Today at our Headquarters, we awarded Certificates of Completion to 184 students who have completed the 1st Level at the National Unity Platform School of Leadership located at Kamwokya. The 184 awardees are divided into 4 categories- the foot-soldiers class, the professionals class, the elected leaders' class, as well as our Diaspora Class who attended virtual classes. This was the Second Cohort of students being awarded certificates.

We were honored to have Dr. Spire Ssentongo deliver a very moving, educative and insightful keynote address on the occasion. We're deeply grateful to him for making time to come despite the fact that he's still mourning his brother who recently passed on. He challenged all of us to pursue that which matters most- kindness, integrity and impact, instead of focusing on material things which are but a passing shadow. He also reminded us that those who find joy in oppressing others can never have sustainable joy.

I congratulate all those who received their certificates today and appreciate them for investing time and energies in attending the rigorous classes. This is our way of giving back to the society, because we know for sure that if we have grounded leaders, our society will transform for the better. Thankful to our comrades who have been teaching and facilitating the classes.

This afternoon at the National Unity Platform Headquarters, I was very humbled to formally submit my Expression of Interest in running for President of Uganda in the upcoming . I was privileged to be accompanied by my wife Barbie Kyagulanyi and our son Shadrack Mbogo. In a special way, some family members of our detained or disappeared comrades also offered to come with me, to assert the fact that our mission is not yet complete. I'm very grateful to the mothers of Eddie Mutwe and Yasin Ssekitoleko Machete who are in detention without trial, as well as the wives of our disappeared comrades Ddamulira John and Johnbosco Kibalama.

We shall be counting on the support of the millions of Ugandans, as well as the infinite mercies of the Almighty to guide us all through towards victory.

Despite the regime stepping up the persecution of supporters of the National Unity Platform, we continue to attract new members into the Party. This afternoon, we formally welcomed over 470 of them. I have stressed it to these comrades that NUP is not just a political party; it's a revolutionary movement firmly committed to ridding Uganda of dictator Museveni and Musevenism. No matter what happens, we have only one way to go: forward until the the dictator falls!

U can imagine

Very unfortunate to see the Parliament of Uganda behave in this manner. This morning, we received this invitation to appear and give our views on the UPDF Amendment Bill. The invitation was for today at 9:00am!

Yesterday, an advert ran in the newspapers asking the public to give their views by close of business today. The link that was provided through which people would access the Bill wasn't working. In fact, I tried to check last evening, and the website was off.

You can see how eager they are to pass this unconstitutional law even if it means violating every law in the book!

Well, we wrote back asking for ample time to prepare our response to this very problematic law that seeks to illegally take civilians back to military courts. National Unity Platform members have been gravely persecuted through the military courts - for whatever worth it may have, we want to be on record about our strong objection.
