Interested in music since childhood, thanks to the collection of 10,000 cassette tapes of his brother, Matteo Bruno was surrounded by diverse genres. He grew up listening to Italian songwriters, soul music, jazz-funk, electronic and R&B, with a strong taste for songs to dance, for music that makes your body move. As a teenager he fell in love with underground house music seduced by the art of mixing and turntables.
Clubber and owner of a records and streetwear clothing store, he became a DJ driven by the desire that others have fun.
In his fresh and groovy performances, characterized by careful selection and excellent technique, in underground venues as well as in renowned clubs, he always creates a strong connection with the dancefloor for an immersive and captivating experience.
Since 2020 he has been active as a producer as well as a DJ. Constantly engaded in studio, his works have been published on several labels from the minimal scene and as independent releases too.
His minimalist approach and style are characterized by the use of engaging synths and basslines. His works are always looking for a musical story telling and from the beginning he has dedicated himself to search his sound identity, which we find well delineated in latest works.
He is also co-founder of Loft 71, a cultural association focused on electronic music, art and entertainment, and Art Director of the party of the same name, based in Milan, an intimate and underground event that becomes a pure expression of the values and aesthetics of club culture, which he is inspired by and has belonged to for decades.
As soon as I came back from Tunisy, I got into the studio and this one, Drop in Tunisy, came out. Synths, melodies, textures, basslines and good drums: my journey. As usual, I try to bring my journey into music, also because my approach is that I always start making music without a project. Music is always in my head, so I simply try to put it back on my system, to create it. I can't say that I have to think about a project, the music, always by my side, flows and ideas take shapes.
