YouTube is testing a new feature designed to create safer search experiences for everyone. For certain search queries that often include sexual themes, viewers may see blurred video thumbnails in search results. The video title, channel name, and description will still be visible, and there will be an option to unblur the thumbnails if desired. This experiment is intended to help users avoid unintentionally viewing content that complies with YouTube's Community Guidelines but may be sensitive in nature. This feature is currently being rolled out to a small percentage of viewers as YouTube evaluates its effectiveness.
