Egypt 🇪🇬 has the world’s largest palm plantation in Toshka, covering 38,000 acres and listed in Guinness World Records.

The army planted about 1.6–2 million date palms.

Egypt is now the top global date producer, with 1.8M tonnes yearly and 18 new varieties, making up 19% of world output.

This year, the farm will start selling rare seedlings locally and exporting to Arab and African markets.

A 1,000-Year-Old Oath to a King of Angkor

SIEM REAP – Known as The Oath of Allegiance to King Suryavarman I, this surviving inscription offers researchers a gateway into how ancient armies were managed during the early phases of the Khmer Empire somewhere around the early 11th century.

Joining the conversation to explain the meaning behind the inscription is Dr. Chhom Kunthea, an epigraphist, and an official at APSARA National Authority’s Department of Research, Training and Communication.
