BATANGAS PIO | Batangas Offers Real Property Tax Amnesty Until July 2026

The Provincial Government of Batangas, through the Provincial Treasurer's Office (PTO), has announced the implementation of a Real Property Tax Amnesty under Section 30 of Republic Act No. 12001, also known as the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA).

The amnesty program covers penalties, surcharges, and interest on unpaid real property taxes, including the Special Education Fund, idle land tax, and other special levy taxes.

Residents can avail of the tax relief through their respective Municipal Treasurer's Offices (MTOs)
across Batangas. The amnesty period will run until July 5, 2026.

SAN PASCUAL, Batangas | Graziella Tumambing Medrano Takes Oath as San Pascual Councilor, Vows Service with "Galing, Talino, at Malasakit"

San Pascual, Batangas - Graziella Tumambing-Medrano, is now a certified and a full-fledged Municipal Councilor of San Pascual, Batangas after a series of oath-taking ceremonies this week, pledging to prioritize service with "Galing, Talino, at Malasakit" (Excellence, Intelligence, and Compassion) for her constituents.

Medrano first took her oath on June 16, 2025, at the ABC Building in the Municipal Hall, administered by ABC President Medel Medrano, who also serves as President of the Liga ng mga Barangay and Barangay Bayanan’s chief. The ceremony marked her formal entry as a public servant under the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NP) .

Two days later, on June 18, she reaffirmed her commitment during a mass oath-taking event led by Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, joining other newly elected officials from Batangas’ 2nd District. In a social media post, Medrano expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her and asked for prayers, stating, "Nawa’t lagit lagi ang Panginoon ang maging sentro ng aking serbisyo" (May God always be the center of my service) .

A Profile of Leadership

Medrano’s election reflects her deep roots in community engagement. Her campaign highlighted her collaborative work with Team MAGUILAS in Barangay Banaba, where she earned recognition for her grassroots initiatives . As the spouse of a local leader (ABC President Medrano), her platform emphasized unity and participatory governance, resonating with voters—a factor that likely contributed to her securing 17,036 votes (38.49%), the highest among councilor candidates in San Pascual .

SAN JUAN, Batangas | San Juan Performing Arts Group Arrives at NAIA Terminal 3 for Central Philippine Tourism Expo in Tacloban

Manila, Philippines – June 19, 2025 – The SayawJuan or San Juan Performing Arts Group from San Juan, Batangas, arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 today, June 19, en route to Tacloban City to represent Region IV-A CALABARZON at the Central Philippine Tourism Expo (CPTEX) 2025.

The group, officially endorsed by the local government of San Juan, Batangas, will showcase the region’s rich cultural heritage and artistic traditions at the three-day expo, which runs from June 20 to 22 in Tacloban City. Organized under the theme “Celebrating Diversity and Shared Culture,” CPTEX 2025 aims to highlight lesser-known destinations and foster inter-regional tourism collaboration.

About CPTEX 2025

Now in its third year, the expo brings together over 200 participants, including tourism offices, tour operators, and hospitality providers from Central Philippines regions such as CALABARZON, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Negros Island, and Eastern Visayas.

Activities include:
