Batangas PESO Federation, DOLE Push Institutionalization of PESO in Nasugbu, Balayan

BATANGAS — The Batangas Provincial Federation of PESO Managers, Inc., together with Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bureau of Local Employment Director Predelma Tan, met with the local chief executives of Nasugbu and Balayan to advance the institutionalization of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in their respective municipalities.

The discussions were held with Nasugbu Mayor Antonio Barcelon, joined by Councilor Ayen Chuidian, and Balayan Mayor Liza Ermita. The dialogue focused on strengthening PESO as a permanent and empowered local government office that provides accessible employment facilitation, livelihood opportunities, career guidance, and workforce development programs.

TRAFFIC FLOW MONITORING CONTINUES IN TAAL POBLACION

TAAL, Batangas — The local government of Taal, led by Mayor Atty. Nene Bainto, has intensified monitoring and assessment of traffic flow in the town’s Poblacion area.

On Monday, personnel from the Traffic Management Group (TMG) Taal, Mayor’s Office, Sangguniang Bayan, PNP Taal, LTO Taal, and MPDC jointly observed road conditions near major schools, focusing on student entry hours to ensure safety and smoother movement.

The LGU is also coordinating with stakeholders and partner agencies to develop long-term solutions for safer and more convenient roads for motorists and students.

Mayor Bainto thanked all offices and individuals supporting the initiative, underscoring the town’s commitment to orderly traffic and public safety.
