Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share that I was a part of the Light and Sound Crew at my ice rink's New Year's Skating Exhibition!!!
Let me tell you I am so happy I got to be a part of it. I used to do AV club in highschool and this reminded me that I LOVE theater production and the arts. In College, I studied Corporate Communications and was a part of the Newspaper club. Now at 26 I'm doing what I love again ❤️ It was an amazing show. We had special guests and Mia Eckels!! For my followers in PA, did you know that Johnny Weir is a local celebrity from Quarryville, PA??? How amazing is that!?

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! It's been a crazy year!

I finally made it to Adult 6/ Pre Freestyle. As a Christmas 🎁 gift my family got me a new set of skates! These are the with blade!
My old pair of with Mark II blade were starting to break down on me.

So far, the Jackson Freestyles are much more comfortable. I still have to go through the "Break in" process. They are STIFF. The insides have more padding and the blade was aligned to my foot🦶 . My left ankle leans "Inward" in my boot. Which threw off my balance previously but now it's not as noticable.

I've achieved a lot over the past 10 months. I started lessons back in February 2023. When I enrolled in my first round of lessons I was in Adult Basic level 1. I ended that class in March heading into Adult 3. I took another round of lessons at a different ice rink from March into April. After that round of lessons I made it to Adult 4. I took a break from lessons over the summer but I still practiced in the meantime.
I also took that time to travel to different ice rinks, meet new people, and check out potential Figure skate clubs. I came back to lessons at Ice world in September.

Now after 3 months I'm in Adult 6!
I'm proud of myself and I can't believe how far I've come. Investing in your passions has a huge payout! Keep focused on being motivated and you will be successful!!
