Whatever You Sow, You Will Reap
Most times in life, we forget a simple but powerful truth: what we do always comes back to us. The Bible reminds us in Galatians 6:7 — "Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." This principle is as true in our daily lives as it is in the spiritual realm.
We’re also told in Matthew 7:12 to "do unto others what you would have them do unto you." Yet, many of us fall short. We’re given opportunities, responsibilities, or even other people’s property, and instead of treating it with care, we handle it carelessly — simply because it’s not our own. But how would we feel if the same was done to us?
One important lesson in life is this: if you can take care of what belongs to others as if it were your own, there is nothing that can stop your progress. Why? Because you’re proving yourself faithful. When you're entrusted with little and manage it well, you prepare yourself for greater.
Some people mismanage what’s been given to them and later wonder why they’re facing struggles. But the truth is, many of those challenges are seeds we’ve sown in the past—carelessness, dishonor, or neglect. You may even find yourself deceived or disappointed, all because you didn’t uphold the same standard you expect from others.
If you want to be loved, then choose to love others. If you want peace, give peace. If you want blessings, be a blessing. It’s that simple.
This also reminds me of the Parable of the Talents. The master entrusted his servants with talents before going away. One servant buried his talent out of fear and returned it untouched. It wasn’t the fact that he returned it—it was the attitude he had that angered the master. God has given us gifts, talents, and opportunities not to hide or waste, but to multiply and use for His glory.
So, here’s the takeaway:
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Manage everything you’re given as if it were your own.
Use your talents and gifts—they are blessings meant to bless others.
Be faithful with little, and more will be added to you.
At the end of the day, God rewards faithfulness, integrity, and love. Sow good seeds, and in due time, you’ll reap a harvest you’ll be proud of.
