Blossom In Your Own Time

"There's no competition in life. If you must compete, compete with yourself by embracing personal growth and development. Understand that 'TIME AND CHANCE' happeneth to them all.

We often compare our lives to others, feeling like we're behind or ahead. But the truth is, everyone's journey is unique. Some people marry early and enjoy a long, fulfilling marriage, while others may divorce and remarry. Some become parents at a young age, while others start their family in their 40s.

Some individuals achieve financial success early on, while others take longer to reach their goals. Wherever you are in life, remember that it's not about comparing yourself to others. It's about focusing on your own growth and progress.

Don't get stuck in one place for too long. Keep pushing forward, learning, and evolving. Celebrate your small wins, and don't be too hard on yourself when you encounter setbacks.

EXPOSING THE PRETENSE IN THE CHURCH

Let's face it, many of us are guilty of pretending to have a faith we don't really possess. We're sowing seeds, praying for breakthroughs, and seeking blessings, but our hearts aren't fully invested.

We're praying for jobs without preparing ourselves to retain them. We're seeking financial breakthroughs without making wise financial decisions.

The result? Frustration, disappointment, and a fake smile to hide our true feelings.

BUT THERE'S A SOLUTION!

Jesus said, "WATCH and pray" (Matthew 26:41). The emphasis is on WATCH!

When we watch, we become spiritually sensitive to hear God's voice. We begin to discern His will, His timing, and His ways.

So, let's stop pretending and start WATCHING!

Let's watch for God's presence in our lives.
Let's watch for His guidance and direction.
Let's watch for opportunities to serve and bless others.

When we watch, we'll pray more effectively, and our faith will become genuine.

Holding Ourselves Accountable: The Truth About Youth Empowerment Programs

As I reflect on the numerous youth empowerment conferences and programs that take place every year, I'm compelled to ask some hard questions.

Do we truly empower the youth, or are these programs just a means to an end? Are we genuinely invested in the growth and development of our young people, or are we just looking for ways to enrich ourselves?

Let's face it: the rich keep getting richer because they leverage their power and influence to accumulate more wealth. Meanwhile, the poor continue to struggle, and the so-called "empowerment programs" often do little to change their circumstances.

I challenge all of us who organize these programs to take a step back and evaluate our motives. Are we in it for the right reasons, or are we just using these programs as a way to line our pockets?

The truth is, if we're not seeing tangible results – if we're not witnessing real, lasting change in the lives of the young people we claim to be empowering – then we need to rethink our approach.

So, I ask you: what's the real impact of your youth empowerment program? Can you point to specific successes, to young people whose lives have been genuinely transformed as a result of your efforts?

Or are we just going through the motions, using these programs as a way to feel good about ourselves without actually making a difference?

Let's get real, and let's get honest. It's time to stop pretending and start making a real impact.

The Power of Moderation in Spiritual Expression

As a Christian, I firmly believe that speaking in tongues is a beautiful gift from God. However, I've learned that even the most wonderful things can become a hindrance when taken to extremes.

I recall a colleague who would often burst into loud, passionate tongues during work hours, right in the middle of our office. While I understood their enthusiasm, it was disrupting and unprofessional.

Unfortunately, this behavior cost him not one, not two, but three job opportunities! It was a valuable lesson in the importance of moderation and timing.

The Bible reminds us in 1 Corinthians 14:40 that "everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way." And Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 teaches us that there's a time for everything under the sun.

As Christians, we must strive to balance our spiritual expression with wisdom and sensitivity towards others. We can't let our zeal for God compromise our responsibilities, relationships, or reputation.
