1 mile left! 💛👣

Jesus appears to His friends after the resurrection — and He brings peace, proof, and presence.

“Peace be with you.”
“Stop doubting and believe.”
“Come and have breakfast.”

He showed up in their fear.
He welcomed Thomas in his doubt.
He made a fire and served breakfast.

Jesus isn’t just Lord of the miraculous — He’s also Lord of the ordinary.
And He’s still showing up today. In our walks. In our questions. In our quiet moments.

Only 1 more day to go.
Let’s finish with faith and peace in every step.

☀️ 16-minute power walk this morning — and it felt amazing!

He is alive! 🙌
Today I read the moment that changed everything — when the tomb was empty and Jesus rose again.

Mary came to the tomb in tears… but left saying:

“I have seen the Lord!” — John 20:18

Jesus rose for the world — but He also rose for me.
And today, I feel that resurrection energy in my own steps!

Just 2 more days to go in this journey. Let’s finish strong, joyful, and empowered — because the same Spirit that raised Jesus is walking with us too. ✨

37 miles walked • John 19:17–42 read

Today, I walked with the weight of the cross on my heart.
Jesus carried it. He was nailed to it. And with His last breath, He said:

“It is finished.” — John 19:30

Not because He was defeated — but because He completed the mission.
He gave it all. For us.

And now…
3 more days.
Just 3 more miles.
The finish line is in sight. 👣💪

To my 40/40 family —
Let’s encourage each other to keep going. Whether you’re full of energy or walking in faith on tired feet…
YOU’RE ALMOST THERE.
You’ve come this far — don’t stop now.

Finish strong. Finish with purpose. Finish with love.

🌄 40/40 Challenge – Day 36
36 miles walked • John 19:1–16 read
One mile walked around Devils Tower, Wyoming

Last night, we watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind under the stars —
and today, I walked around that same tower, taking in the wind, the sky, and the beauty of creation.

But today’s scripture wasn’t a sci-fi story —
It was the moment Jesus wore a crown of thorns, was beaten, mocked, and handed over to be crucified.

“Here is your King.” — John 19:14

So many people missed who He really was…
But I haven’t.
He’s still my King — even when the world mocks Him, even when it’s hard to stand for truth.

Today’s challenge was to rebuke the devil — to reject lies, fear, confusion, and darkness.
I’m walking forward in truth. For me. For my family. For the One who wore the thorns so I could walk in light.

Sharing our moment today at Mount Rushmore! 🏞️

In today’s chapter, Jesus stood before Pilate and said:

“For this I was born… to testify to the truth.” — John 18:37

Even when misunderstood, even when denied, Jesus stood calmly in truth.
It reminds me that walking with Him isn’t always easy —
but it is always right.

Today I walked my mile near some of the boldest symbols of history —
and I’m grateful I got to share it with my husband and daughter.
Moments like this help me remember how far we’ve come — and how good God is.

🌙 40/40 Challenge – Day 34 🌙
34 miles walked • John 17:20–26 & 18:1–14 read

Today I’m reflecting on a love so deep — Jesus prayed for me before He went to the cross.

“I pray also for those who will believe in Me…” — John 17:20

Even knowing betrayal was coming…
Even facing suffering…
He stepped forward.

Today’s challenge wasn’t loud or busy — it was quiet. A walk. A prayer. A pause.
I’m tired, but I’m still moving. Still believing. Still loved.

6 days left — and I’m not walking alone.
Jesus is still interceding. Still holding me. Still guiding every step.

🎆 40/40 Challenge – Day 33 • July 4th 🇺🇸
33 miles walked • John 17:1–19 read
One mile walked today in the Black Hills with friends!

Jesus prayed:

“Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.” — John 17:17

Today’s challenge is to listen — and that’s exactly what I’m doing:
🪵 Listening to the wind in the trees
😊 Listening to the laughter of friends
🕊️ Listening for God’s voice in the middle of this celebration

On this Independence Day, I’m thankful for so many kinds of freedom:
The kind we celebrate as a country — and the kind Jesus gives us through truth and grace.

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” — John 8:32

Grateful for this walk.
Grateful for these people.
Grateful that even now, Jesus still prays for us.

🎇 Happy July 4th, everyone!
Stay safe, be joyful, and remember where true freedom comes from. 💙

One mile walked this morning before heading to the Black Hills!

Jesus said:

“In this world you will have trouble… but take heart! I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33

Today, I needed that reminder.
Not every plan goes smoothly. Not every person shows up the way you hope.
But Jesus never fails.
And even in frustration, He is still my peace.

So I laced up my shoes and walked my mile.
Cleared my heart.
And now I’m ready to head out into the trees — to rest, breathe, and reconnect.

🕊️ 40/40 Challenge – Day 31 🕊️
31 miles walked • John 15:26–27 & 16:1–15 read

Today’s challenge was to invite a friend to walk with me —
and while I love that idea, the truth is…
I’m preparing for a big camping trip tomorrow in the Black Hills!
So much to pack, plan, and pray over before I go. 😅

But I will invite my friends to walk with me while we’re out there in nature —
to walk, talk, and share how God’s been working during this challenge.

📖 In today’s reading, Jesus promised the Holy Spirit —
a guide, a comforter, and a truth-teller.
And I’m leaning on that Spirit today as I move through this busy day:

“The Spirit will guide you into all truth.” — John 16:13

So whether I’m walking alone or with others, I know I’m not walking empty.
The Advocate walks with me. Always. 🕯️

10 more days to go! ✨

Jesus said:

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me… you will bear much fruit.” — John 15:5

That’s my prayer today:
To remain in Him — not just while I’m walking, but in every part of life.
Because fruit doesn’t come from hustle. It comes from connection.

These past 30 days haven’t been easy.
But they’ve been full of pruning, growth, worship, and surrender.
I’m walking slower… deeper… and more aware of the One I’m walking with. 🕊️

10 days left — and I’m staying rooted.
In His Word.
In His love.
In His peace.

🌼 40/40 Challenge – Day 29 🌼
29 miles walked • John 14:15–31 read
Today’s challenge: Pray for children 🙏

This morning, I’m praying for the next generation — especially my daughter, Ember.
Last week, she got to attend summer day camp at Flatirons Community Church, and seeing her worship, laugh, and grow with other kids lit up my heart. 💛

The world may feel loud and confusing, but God is still speaking.
And I believe He’s raising up children who will walk in His truth, love with courage, and shine bright in the darkness.

So today I walk and pray:
✨ That Ember and every child knows they are wonderfully made
✨ That they’re rooted in God’s Word
✨ That they grow up with joy, wisdom, and fearless faith

Lord, protect our kids.
Lead them with Your Spirit.
And help us be the examples they need.

💛 40/40 Challenge – Day 28 💛
28 miles walked • John 14:1–14 read
16 years married today! 🎉

Jesus said:

“I go to prepare a place for you.”
Today, those words hit differently.
Because for the past 16 years, my husband and I have been learning how to create a space for each other — in love, in laughter, in the mess, and in grace.

This week we’re going camping with friends, and I’m reminded that hospitality is about more than sharing tents or meals.
It’s about making people feel safe, seen, and welcome.
That’s the kind of love Jesus shows us — and it’s the kind of love I want to keep living out.

So today I walk with:
💍 Gratitude for 16 years of marriage
🏕️ Excitement to create joy with our friends
🕊️ And a heart that says:

“You’re welcome here, just as you are.”
