Coat season is officially in session and I’m not mad about it at all 🧄✨
A good coat truly makes or breaks an outfit. The right one does all the heavy lifting and instantly elevates any look with minimal effort.

And honestly, this is the best time for the modest girlies šŸ¤Ž
Layers, structure, coverage, and still looking effortlessly stylish. We get to play with silhouettes, textures, and lengths without compromising comfort or elegance.

This little haul is a mix of cozy, classy, and timeless pieces that I know I’ll be reaching for over and over again. And yes, I’ve owned all of these coats for some time now — some for over a year, some for two years, some for three years and even more. So far, I’ve only added just one extra coat to my collection… the rest is all about restyling what I already own.

I love coats that instantly elevate even the simplest outfit while keeping me warm and comfortable. No overthinking, just throw it on and go.

I performed Umrah for the first time, and Alhamdulillah, it was such a beautiful journey.

Before beginning Umrah, we trimmed our nails and removed unwanted hair. This is part of preparing ourselves for Umrah. We also intended to perform it in the Sunnah way, just as Prophet Muhammad ļ·ŗ did.

We first landed in Madinah and spent a couple of nights there. After that, we travelled to Dhul Hulaifah Mosque (Masjid Miqat). There, we performed ghusl, prayed two rakā€˜ah, and then made our intention for Umrah.

They say it’s always good to wear comfortable shoes, so we got ours ready as well. This is Dhul Hulaifah Mosque, and that’s my husband coming in. The facilities are separated for men and women.

After making our intention, we began reciting the Talbiyah:
ā€œLabbayk Allahumma Umrah.ā€

From there, we headed straight to Makkah. The journey from Madinah to the miqat takes about 40 minutes, and then we booked a cab to Makkah. Along the way, we stopped briefly to eat, but we continued reciting the Talbiyah throughout the journey.

After dinner, we prayed Maghrib and Isha, then continued on to Makkah. Once we arrived at the hotel, we dropped our luggage, performed wudu again after the long journey, rested briefly, and then headed straight to the Haram.

It was myself, my mum, and my husband on this journey. This was my very first Umrah, and SubhanAllah, I was overwhelmed with joy. I couldn’t be more grateful. Alhamdulillah.

My husband showed us the entrance to the mosque since he had been here before. And the first time seeing the Kaaba… SubhanAllah. It was breathtaking.

We performed Tawaf around the Kaaba, then prayed two rakā€˜ah behind Maqam Ibrahim, and drank Zamzam water, following the Sunnah.

After that, we headed to the Safa and Marwah area to perform Saā€˜i. We began at Safa and ended at Marwah, completing seven rounds. When men reach the green lights, they jog, while women continue walking.

It was such a powerful and emotional experience. I performed Umrah for myself, and the following day, I performed Umrah for my late father. I pray that Allah accepts it from me.

Honestly, I’m already longing to return. Islam is truly beautiful. Alhamdulillah for Allah’s mercy and blessings.

After completing Saā€˜i, we exited the Haram. For men, the hair is shaved or trimmed, so we went for my husband to shave his head. For women, we simply gather our hair and cut the length of a thumbnail.

After that, we ate and returned to the hotel.

Until next time, Makkah.

Spend a few days with us in Medina.
This trip was very intentional. We didn’t get to visit many of the historical places where history was made, because our main focus was worship. With our children waiting for us back home in London, we wanted to come, perform our Umrah properly, pray, and return with our hearts full.
During the days we spent in Medina, we made it a priority to book for Rawdah and pray Fajr at the mosque, and Alhamdulillah we were able to achieve that.
Sometimes, just being present in worship is more than enough.

Allah invited us to His house. Super grateful, Alhamdulillah. What a beautiful way to end my 2025. Me, my mum and my husband visiting Umrah. About 9 weeks ago I was telling my friend that now that my mum is here, myself and my husband can finally go to Umrah together because I always wanted my first Umrah to be with him. I even joked that imagine if we actually travelled with my mum coz the plan was she can stay with thr kids and guess what from my mouth to Allahs’s ear. We planned, but indeed Allah is the best planner.

I pray Almighty Allah accepts this from us. I pray He accepts our Umrah and answers all our dua. I pray for all of you my munchkins. May Allah grant every prayer I make on you all. Ya Allah please continue to guide and protect us.

Story time… the day my dream of going to Umrah came true

A few weeks ago, I was feeling so overwhelmed… sick, emotional, everything just too much. My husband looked at me and asked, ā€œWhat can I do to make you feel better?ā€ And I thought, you already know what I want, right?

A few days later, he kept asking, ā€œWhen will your period finish? When is your next one?ā€ And I was like… really? You already know. But I didn’t think much of it.

Then, three weeks later, he said, ā€œBabe, pack your bags. We are going to Umrah — with your mom.ā€ I couldn’t stop smiling… I was over the moon. I prayed for him, I prayed and prayed.

That night, as I was about to sleep, he said, ā€œTurn around… look at my phone.ā€ I thought maybe he changed the ticket date. But when I looked closely… I saw his name, my name, and my mom’s name. I just burst into tears. I couldn’t stop crying.

This was everything I had ever wished for — my first Umrah with my husband and my mom by my side. Alhamdulillah, what I whispered to Allah from my heart has come true.

So yes… come with me as we perform Umrah together. ā¤ļø

Hi munchkins, pack with me for Umrah. Alhamdulillah, Allah invited me to His house. So yes, let’s pack together. I am not packing unnecessary things, JUST MY UMRAH ESSENTIALS.so I just packed a couple of clothes. Of course, I had to get unscented body lotion and shower gel for Umrah. The one I use is and it already says unscented on the bottle.

After Umrah, when I am going to say salaam to the Prophet in Madinah, it is only right to smell nice. I picked my favourite scents. I also packed Bath & body product. I love their body mists so much and it is only good to smell nice when you are going to say salaam to the Prophet. So I took that as well.

So yeah, let’s go to Umrah together. I will take you guys with me on my story, so stay tuned when I get to Makkah and Medina Many vlogs coming your way.

And do not forget to use when sending money home. If you use my discount code ZEE you can send up to two hundred pounds home and get some money back🤩

Our realistic weekend routine. I have not shared something like this before, so here is what our weekend morning looks like, not special or out of ordinary, just a mother and father that works together as a team. We are a family of six, so you already know the kitchen stays busy. Everyone is doing something and husband making breakfast while I’m handling other things on the side.

Now let us talk about this toaster and blender. The toaster has honestly given me so much peace. I do not need to stand with the kids in the kitchen while they toast their bread anymore. No more worrying about anything burning because you can set the exact timer and temperature you want. It does more than toast bread too, it has an insert you can use to toast wraps and it comes in so handy.

And the blender, Gosh guys, it surprised me. It blends my pepper so smoothly and the chop option is a life saver. I am genuinely impressed. Make sure you check them out. ā¤ļø

A little glimpse into our weekend morning as a family of 6 in the UK šŸ«¶šŸ½
Breakfast time is always a full house — me, my husband, the kids and grandma all in the kitchen together. We laugh, cheat small, play around and just enjoy the moment.
I’ve never actually recorded our weekend mornings before, so this video is just to show you guys how it really goes in our home.
And please, can we talk about this toaster and blender? I’m in love. The blender is so smooth and the toaster is a whole game changer 🤩 super easy for the kids to use without me worrying about burns. A must have for every home . ā¤ļø

Yesterday, I shared my struggle on my story and the amount of emotional messages | received... wow. Mums, we are really going through a lot, and half of us are suffering in silence.
So today, I want to share a few things I’ve learned the hard way.
Things I wish someone told me earlier.
Teach your kids to help you... don’t carry everything on your head alone.
Ask for help, from your partner, from your kids, from your friends.
Take care of yourself without feeling guilty.
Go out once or twice a month.
Eat good food.
Do your pedicure, do your massage, do your body care, do your nails.
Even if it’s just window shopping, leave that house and breathe.
For example, my first son started making breakfast for the kids on Saturdays now, He’s 10, and with guidance, he can do it well. And now myself and my husband can wake up late on Saturdays instead of rushing and worrying about what the kids will eat. Little things go a long way. Teach them early. Catch them young Don’t be a ā€œstrong motherā€ that breaks inside.
Be a soft life babe mother
Soft, calm, cared for.
And remember... you are not alone
