The Key to Good Health: A Good Night's Sleep
According to traditional Chinese medicine, sleep accounts for up to 70% of what determines a healthy body. Often, we don’t know exactly what we need to eat, but after a good night’s sleep, the body wakes up and feels refreshed. If you're experiencing any of the following issues, consider adjusting your sleep habits:
1⃣️ Irritability: You get angry easily over trivial things and feel like nothing is going your way.
2⃣️ Lack of energy: You constantly feel tired and drained.
3⃣️ Poor skin: You may notice dark spots, under-eye circles, deeper facial lines, and puffiness upon waking.
4⃣️ Difficulty losing weight: Despite your efforts, you find it hard to shed pounds.
Here are some tips to help you sleep better:
1⃣️ Sleep at the right time: Both afternoon naps and midnight sleep are essential. The hours between 11 PM and 1 AM are critical for energy restoration, and from 11 AM to 1 PM is a good time for a short nap.
2⃣️ Prepare for sleep: Put aside work and worries for the next day. Do something relaxing to give your brain a signal that it's time to rest.
3⃣️ Avoid eating after 8 PM: Traditional Chinese medicine believes that "if the stomach is unsettled, you’ll have trouble sleeping." Eating too late can overburden your digestive system and affect your sleep.
4⃣️ Don’t go to bed with negative emotions: The more you dwell on something, the harder it is to fall asleep. Let your mind relax.
5⃣️ Do light exercises before bed: Warm foot baths or listening to calming music can also help you drift into sleep.
6⃣️ Go to bed early and wake up early: Oversleeping can leave you feeling fatigued, and too much sleep in the morning can make it harder to fall asleep at night.
Remember, sleep not only enhances beauty but also nourishes the body. Go to bed early for a fresh, energized start to your day!
