NEW MOMs, what is something you feel you’ve learned from your motherhood journey so far? sound off in the comments.

my son turned 1 wednesday and it’s made me reflect on my journey with motherhood. being a mother is often balancing more than one mind, so tag your mom friends below.

here are 7 epiphanies i’ve had this year:

1] i’m not separate from any iteration of myself but an compilation of all the lessons, blessings and experiences.

2] being present for myself is being present for my son. without worry on my mind, i’m able to be present.

3] ask for help as much as you do things outside your comfort zone. never lean too hard one way or another.

4] children deserve your intention, not perfection.

5] talking about what’s happening helps a child transition better than blind commands.

6] don’t be afraid to learn as much as you’d set boundaries. community is a great resource but it doesn’t outmatch your instinct all the time.

7] being a great mother doesn’t mean sacrifices everything. it’s just means being honest with yourself about what you need.

I don’t care. i’ll start three books in one day but only read 20 pages each 😂
