Everyone in the marketing industry is now talking about how Hormozi made $100M in a single day.

And rightfully so — it was probably one of the biggest moments in internet history.

The man is officially an OG of the industry.

You can hate him. You can love him. But you can’t ignore him — especially if you consider yourself “good” at marketing.

But let’s be real for a second…

If you look closely, everything he and his team did was just… fundamentals:
• a solid webinar (but classic),
• a strong close (but standard),
• a good offer (but fairly traditional).

So how did it blow up at that level?

👉 Personal brand. That’s the ultimate differentiator.

Alex and Leila spent years building reach, trust, and credibility. Most marketers ignore this part and then wonder why their numbers don’t add up.

👉 Patience. For three years he only sold cheap books and gave away free value. He didn’t throw in a single high-ticket pitch.

And when the moment finally came… BOOM. Most people can’t last 3 days without asking for money, he waited 3 years.

👉 Real scarcity. The offer disappeared right after the live. Combine that with brand + 3 years of pre-selling and you’ve got the perfect formula.

And here’s the lesson: it’s not about hacks or magic funnels.

It’s about fundamentals, brand, and TIMING.

If you’re good at sales, what you’re missing isn’t another closing script — it’s building your brand and positioning. Those matter more than any hack.

A Sunday thought:

The audience you are addressing doesn’t know what you know.

The audience you are addressing is exposed daily to dozens and hundreds of ads and posts competing for their attention (just like you are).

The audience you are addressing will forget about you if you don’t stay active and keep in touch with them.

The audience you are addressing needs to consume the same message from you, presented in dozens of different ways, at least 15 times in order to remember the idea.

The audience you are addressing doesn’t know that you have repeated the same message a thousand times, because they don’t consume only your message. That’s why it’s perfectly normal to repeat it.

The audience you are addressing doesn’t need 1,000 solutions from you for the same problem. They just want one solution for one problem. If you offer too many, it becomes overwhelming and they won’t know what to choose.

The audience you are addressing doesn’t give a damn about you or your offers. They only care about themselves and their problems. That’s why, when you communicate, it should not be about you, but about them.

The audience you are addressing has the attention span of a goldfish. If you haven’t managed to capture it in the first 3 seconds, you have zero chance for your message to be noticed.

The audience you are addressing has different needs and problems at different times. They prioritize these needs based on necessity and the cultural, political, economic, and social context they are in.

The audience you are addressing has fears, barriers, beliefs, desires, ideas, needs, opinions, principles, and values that are very different. You must find the similarity and present it to them in your favor — as long as you want to get results.
