Gramicci FW25 Envisions a Cozy & Colorful Climbing Trip

Gramicci has revealed its Fall/Winter 2025 collection, blending retro outdoor aesthetics with modern functionality. The lineup features thermal fleeces, water-repellent seersucker, breathable h**p, mohair wool blends, and Japanese denim.

The season’s palette balances traditional winter shades of olive, brown, burgundy, and indigo with bold pops of neon orange, green, and aqua. Standouts include a camouflage mohair cardigan, tie-dyed thermal shirts, plaid denim, lime green shell pants, and brown canvas workpants. Outerwear highlights range from a blood orange jacket and camo puffer to more understated staples like navy and gray shell jackets.

The brand, founded in California’s climbing community in 1982 and now with a flagship in Tokyo’s Harajuku, continues to build on its outdoor-inspired collaborations with names such as and Wander, UNDERCOVER, and Keen.

The FW25 collection launches August 21 on Gramicci’s webstore and in physical stores.

The UK’s Online Safety Act came into effect in late July, placing a legal duty on websites and digital services to prevent children from accessing illegal or harmful content. Platforms with communication tools, user-generated content, or adult material must now enforce “highly effective” age verification, with violations risking fines of up to 10% of global revenue or even full site blocks.

Verification methods proposed so far include uploading government-issued ID or facial scans, credit card checks, reviewing the age of an email account, AI-driven estimation, or even outright blocking UK IP addresses. While framed as a measure to protect children, many critics argue the law is less about safeguarding young users and more about expanding government control over online data. By forcing people to hand over sensitive identification, the Act creates a system that could erode anonymity and centralise massive amounts of personal data vulnerable to misuse or surveillance.

Concerns extend beyond technical flaws to political overreach. Civil liberties groups warn the Act opens the door to censorship of free speech, including criticism of the government itself, under the guise of “safety.” Instead of prioritising child welfare, many see it as a convenient justification for deeper monitoring of citizens’ online behaviour. Rockstar Games’ decision to limit communication in Grand Theft Auto Online highlights how the rules could gut entire communities and experiences built on interaction and user-generated content. For players, developers, and privacy advocates alike, the bigger fear is that the Online Safety Act is less about safety — and more about control.

"A Brief History Of The Prada America Cup: From Yacht Deck to UK Street"

The Prada America’s Cup sneaker was born in 1997 for Prada’s Luna Rossa sailing team ahead of its first America’s Cup challenge. Designed as a performance shoe with mesh and leather panels, a grippy rubber sole, and the signature red Linea Rossa stripe, it made its public debut around 1999 and quickly became one of Prada’s most recognisable silhouettes.

By the turn of the millennium, the trainer had moved beyond sailing, gaining traction in fashion capitals and making its way into UK style culture. In Britain, the “ACs” found a place in the late ’90s and early 2000s mix of Italian sports-luxury brands worn by football casuals, club-goers, and style-conscious streetwear fans.

High prices and limited availability added to their status appeal, making them a quiet symbol of taste and spending power. Their glossy leather, technical mesh, and bold red tab became instantly recognisable under neon lights and within UK terrace fashion.

Decades later, the America’s Cup remains a cult classic, with periodic revivals and collaborations keeping it relevant for a new generation—still walking the line between sports performance and street luxury.

"Affordable Performance Brands Like Columbia Are Gaining Ground as Luxury Slows"

As luxury fashion faces slowing growth, affordable technical brands like Columbia Sportswear are capturing more attention—and more market share. Their mix of functionality, durability, and accessible pricing is striking a chord with consumers who want performance they can wear every day.

Columbia just posted a 6% revenue rise in its second quarter to $605.2 million, fuelled by strong demand in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and across Latin America and Asia Pacific. The Columbia brand itself saw an 8% sales jump, more than offsetting drops in its smaller labels. Wholesale surged, and while the U.S. business dipped slightly, international growth continues to accelerate.

CEO Tim Boyle says the company’s Accelerate plan—focused on refreshing Columbia’s brand voice, marketing, and in-store presence—is aimed at winning younger, more active customers. With rising tariffs, economic uncertainty, and elevated prices across the fashion industry, Columbia’s ability to deliver value without sacrificing performance is helping it stand out.

In an environment where luxury is under pressure, brands like Columbia are proving that technical functionality and fair pricing may be the winning formula for the next wave of fashion growth.

"How Bandit Running Became One of the Fastest-Growing Names in Performance Apparel"

In just five years, Bandit Running has gone from a Brooklyn start-up to one of the most talked-about names in the running world. Founded in 2020 by Ardith Singh alongside brothers Nick and Tim West, the brand was born from a simple premise: create performance apparel that works as hard in training as it does in everyday life, without sacrificing personal style.

From the beginning, Bandit set itself apart by building directly with the running community. Before a single product sketch, the founders invited New York City runners into their space to talk about what the market was missing. That open feedback loop—via roundtables, wear-testing, and even Instagram DMs—remains the backbone of the brand. Every collection is shaped by insights from the people who actually wear the gear, leading to features like discreet multi-pocket systems, waterproof phone storage, and anti-chafe construction.

Singh’s design philosophy blends technical “non-negotiables” with a contemporary fashion lens. Fabrics are re-engineered for comfort and performance, while functional elements like storage are designed to disappear into clean silhouettes. The result is versatile apparel that performs on race day but looks equally at home on a coffee run, reflecting the fast-paced, style-conscious culture of New York City.

Bandit’s growth has been fuelled by this balance of function, fashion, and authenticity—a combination that resonates with a generation of runners unwilling to compromise on either performance or personal expression.

Now, the brand has made its debut in the UK with a launch at END. Clothing, offering British runners the chance to experience its community-built approach to modern performance wear. Available now at endclothing.com and in select END. stores.
