Ever wonder what Taso is actually looking at in this INSTINCT scene?

While we were filming, a very chill mama black bear and her two cubs decided to climb a tree to cool off.

Production paused as Animal Control paid a visit, but we were told if we left them alone, they’d leave us alone. So we did and filming resumed.

In this shot, Taso is staring right where those bears were lounging.
Never a dull moment when filming in outside!

This summer BDP debuted it's free introductory to filmmaking class to a group of Morris County homeschool teens. In four weeks, eight teens wrote, planned, produced, edited, and screened their short films!

Since running the program, several have expressed interest in having this course run again for teens, adults only, or families (teens and their parents). If interested, visit beautifuldarknessproductions.com/filmmakerslab to learn more and fill out the interest form. If there is enough interest, we will offer it again in the coming months. May be in-person or virtual based on responses.
