Earthquake is the sudden shaking of the ground that is caused by movements of the tectonic plates of the earth's crust. The constant movement of tectonic plates increases the stress in the rock strata on both sides of a fault until the tension is large enough to be unleashed in a rapid, abrupt movement.

Some earthquakes cause huge disasters according to the magnitude it indicates and some won't even be felt or only a second it may happen. However, we should still be alert and follow instructions on what we can do when there is an earthquake happening.

Flood comes next after or even during a typhoon. Floods are a common type of natural disaster, and they can happen when water overflows and submerges land that is usually dry. Flooding can lead to extreme destruction, including loss of life and damages to personal property and critical public health infrastructure.

A typhoon (bagyo in filipino) struck the country about 19 times a typical year. Typhoons bring strong winds and heavy rains, which can result in flooding, great damage to crops, houses and buildings, and death due to accidents. Climate change affects the increase in the intensity of typhoons.

Typhoons can cause severe damage. Be attentive to weather information to prevent natural disasters and take appropriate preventive measures to reduce the chance of damage.

A landslide is the movement of rock, earth, or debris down a sloped section of land. Landslides are caused by rain, earthquakes, volcanoes, or other factors that make the slope unstable.

We are now entering the rainy season here in the Philippines, so landslide are more possible to happen.
