Earthquake is the sudden shaking of the ground that is caused by movements of the tectonic plates of the earth's crust. The constant movement of tectonic plates increases the stress in the rock strata on both sides of a fault until the tension is large enough to be unleashed in a rapid, abrupt movement.

Some earthquakes cause huge disasters according to the magnitude it indicates and some won't even be felt or only a second it may happen. However, we should still be alert and follow instructions on what we can do when there is an earthquake happening.
