Collegiate Debut ✅

Kelsie Belquist (New Rockford, ND) started her Nebraska Husker career in style, setting the Nebraska Prairie Wolf Invitational meet record in the 400 meter dash in 55.75 seconds. That time was good enough to win the event.

The following day, Belquist returned to the track and ran the 200 meters at the Graduate Classic. The freshman turned in another strong performance, winning the 200 meter dash in 25.10 seconds.

Sean Korsmo, everybody! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Bismarck native ran 4:02.48 at Iowa State’s Cyclone Open to become the second-fastest miler in North Dakota history! He jumps from #9 on the list to #2, just ahead Jake Leingang’s converted 1500m time of 4:02.76.

Will this be the season North Dakota gets its second sub-4 miler? Corey Ihmels remains the only one with his PB of 3:59.7 from his collegiate days at Iowa State.

The 2024 indoor season kicks off today, but not without some travel woes ❄️☃️

The Bison Team Cup in Fargo is still on, with UND and MSUM still looking to make the trip to square off against the Bison. SDSU will no longer be making the trip due to weather.

UMary hosts their triangular today, but at least one side of the triangle is no longer intact. Minot State will not be making the trip due to weather, but certainly UMary and Bismarck State College will still square off.

Stay safe and stay warm today wherever you are!
